I think he is! he has won belts in 2 weight divisions and only lost to the very best p4p fighters. He is not an all time great, but he should be a H.O.F'er :hi:

    I think so.

Like you say, a two weight world champion and beat some good names to get there.

If based solely on his accomplishments at 140...yes. If not, then no. It's tough but my answer is no.

i dont understand! You mean to say that if he had not stepped up and fought at welterweight he would be a H.O.F'er? :huh

dont get the hall of fame mixed up with the all time greats. that man made some MASSIVE numbers in PPV and had an army of followers, plus he ruled a division for years before stepping up and challenging the best at WW.... thats why he deserves to be there, but he ISNT an all time great!! :good

I voted no simply because he didn't cross that line into "great" territory in my opinion. A good fighter who challenged himself and took on the very best and came up short. Certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

A few nice wins against some good fighters but not a strong enough card to be HOF.

It's a shame that from now on, you can make the following argument about HOF contention:

"Is _______ as good as Barry McGuigan? He is? Oh, okay, he has to be HOF then."

Hatton is better than McGuigan, so by that standard, he's HOF-worthy. Otherwise? I'm not sure.

    Pretty easily.

His in the ring achievements are probably enough, but then add on what he has done to raise the profile of boxing and he is a shoo in.

    What makes you a HOFamer?
    Then i'll answer.

  13. Nope. Unless you rate HOF status by how many blind nuthuggers follow you, then you would have Hatton and ODH at the top of the list.
