No. Didn't face a big puncher his whole career. Should have lost twice against Golota and against Tubbs as well.

Hall of Famer for edging the trilogy with a prime Evander Holyfield but didn't do enough to be an ATG

Talent and skill wise at his peak....yes. All time head to head monster.

In terms of achievements, mental strength, inner resolve, ability to overcome difficulties? No.

If peak Bowe was around today he would have been a nightmare.

The bowe from the first holyfield fight could hang with any heavyweight in history.

I'll be honest. I've just got done watching the 1st Bowe-Holyfield fight, it was only downhill for Bowe from there. He reached his ceiling winning the undisputed and lineal Heavyweight championship of the world, his laziness and gluttony would always be his downfall and he could never have beaten Lennox. Bizarre ending to his career but he never did enough to be a top 10 or 15 ATG heavyweight, although h2h he's up there.

Based on what reasoning? Holyfield was one man.

That's the only time he was in 100% shape in body & mind. He saw Lennox poleaxe Razor Ruddock & both Newman & Eddie Futch said "Stay away from him" He did Rock's excuse was "Riddick fought Ferguson & Dokes that made him as much as risking Lennox". If he'd stayed focused he'd have beaten everyone but Lennox who had his number

Not a chance, a classic case of a great talent wasted by lack of discipline and politics.

2 Great wins over an ATG sure but he imploded & couldn't adapt or sustain his career after Golota ball busted him .. faded into oblivion.. that will count against him .. sporting greatness is longevity as much as anything ..

He had a short career because he was a guy with a porous defence who never avoided an inside fight but on his best night, with his chin and recovery at their peak, he is a really hard fight for anyone.

There are levels of greatness. He is Joe Walcott, Floyd Patterson great, not top-ten great.
