As the thread says, is there a more impressive win in the history of the sport that came in 12 fights or less?

You have Leon Spinks over Ali, however p4p donaire is leagues above that version of Ali.

Did we witness history last weekend?

And on a side note alls Fat Dan could say about it was, he was bored.

But i side track. The discussion at hand is, any examples of a better Win in the history of boxing in just 12 pro fights?

If its not, it's very close to it, Holyfield over Qawi is the only other I can think of that's alongside it

David Reid beat Laurent Boudouani is his 12th fight. Not as good, I know, but way up there on the best early wins chart.

He was rated like anyone in top 5 P4P list should be. It's a trend now among boxing fans, if a fighter loses he's either overrated or over-hyped.

Oh, my bad, I read the thread title wrongly....:patsch Thought you were saying that it was the best win in a 12 round fight ever.

    Chan-Hee Park vs Miguel canto
    Davey Moore vs Ayub Kalule

Saensek Muangsurin had won the world title vs Perico Fernandez in only his third fight.Fernandez was not as good as Donaire, but well it's three fights.

Then he had world title fight wins against Lion Furuyama, Monroe Brooks, Miguel Velazquez, Guts Ishimatsu all before his 12th.all solid fighters. It's a bit different than one great win, but worth mentioning as a counterpart achievement.

Rigo vs Donaire is top-notch, though you have to temper it a bit with the massive amatuer experience, age and therefore maturity of Rigo.....he was always going to be a fighter that if he managed to adapt to pro fighting in the first place, would need to be matched to the top quickly if he was going to succeed without wasting years.

According to ESB, Nonito Donaire is an overhyped fraud so Rigo's win doesn't really deserve much credit.
