Rios does have a jab, but he doesn't use it to keep fighters off of him. He doesn't fight like that. Even with Rios' jab, Gamboa would have no problem getting inside. That, however, is Rios' territory. If Rios fought drained, he would for sure be in trouble, but Rios is accurate and powerful enough to cause Gamboa serious problems healthy. Gamboa doesn't really do anything that bothers Rios. He can move, but not with the kind of footwork that Acosta employed. He can hit, but probably not hard enough to get to a big guy like Rios. He has speed, but when has that ever bothered Rios? Gamboa would have to pull something special to beat Rios. He has SO many disadvantages.

    Rios BY TKO...

Demolition, RIOS to big to strong, and would walk GAMBOA down, gamboa has been down to lesser men. Rios has demolished a very good Boxer in ACOSTA who was a great fighter himself and was the same size as RIOS, and he couldn't handle the pressure nor the power, and acosta power was only able to get RIOS attention once.

Gamboa, should target Broner, Juanma,J Gonzalez, Uchiyuma and slowly move up... then he can fight the bad asses like RIOS DEmarco, **** even Linares would be a great fight, and linares is a small dude with not much power at 135 that I would favor GAMBOA beating.

Gamboa would have to do something no one else has done to Rios and thats hurt him. I don't think Gamboa will knock him out, but at least slow down Rios is his best.chance.

Anyone that thinks Rios is your run of the mill pressure fighter you better think again. Like Gamboa, Rios does.have one punch power, but he hides it well. His left hook is one of the best in the game he can be infighting with you a clubbing shot here and there, but once he sets you up for a left hook you going down! His jab isn't anything spectacular, but he does have one. It will be.similar to the Salido fight only Gamboa will be seriously hurt in the middle to late rounds, either going to get stopped late or hanging on and lose on a decision. Bodyshots and left hook by Rios will prove the difference in the fight. Gamboa wins first half, Rios second, but the knockdowns will win it for Rios.

People underestimate the power of Gamboa. The defense of Rios is laughable and Gamboa will be battering him with combinations forcing the ref to stop the fight

Completely untrue Rios throws the jab a lot and it's effective when he stays on the outside or when he uses it to work his way in.

And the last place Gamboa wants to be in on the inside with Rios.

Best fighter Gamboa ever knocked out was Jorge Solis....... I rest my case.

Rios kills Gamboa unless Gamboa tweaks his style accordingly to fight at the higher weights. He needs to get with Freddie Roach who'd be perfect for his style.

If Gamboa is really as good(and fast) as he's touted to be, it should be no contest.

It should be like Gamboa fighting a statue. Size difference will not be a factor.

Rios will get schooled by Gamboa 10 out of 10 times, too much boxing, speed and power, you haven't c the best of Gamboa yet because he hasn't being pushed, and for all those that keep bringing Gamboas knockdowns I'm asking them, when you have seen Gamboa hurt? we all know what Rios can do, walk forward and get hit alot, I c this fight similar to that of Gamboa vs. Ponce de Leon, but everyone has an opinion of course...

Cash_718 already detailed exactly what would happen and he is completely correct.

    Rios wins by stoppage.

Look gents, Its simple, Gamboa dosnt have what it takes to beat Rios. Hes too small, he dosnt hit hard enough, and he cant hide for twelve rounds. Hes gonna get hit in every round and by the sixth, the hits will have slowed him to the point where the knockout can and will happen.
