I wish people would stop linking RJJ to BALCO. RJJ has never been linked to BALCO he was NEVER on that BALCO list. The only boxer you'll find on that list was Shane Mosley. Once again RJJ never used any "products" from BALCO. Anyway, RJJ was tested positive once for (Epedra) or some **** like that after the Richard Hall fight back in 2000. RJJ admitted that he took a supplement called Ripped fuel (I've been told is a form of epedra) which according to him he thought was legal in the states he was fighting in.
To some extent, yes i have to agree with you. But I'd say the perfromances above 168 were ligit. He was one of the greatest. Should have stayed at super-middle in 97, or stayed at heavy in 2003
Yep. I have asthma and get prescribed certain medicines with steroids along with normal asthma meds. The thing is, these medicines never enter the bloodstream and therefore will never show up on a steroid drug test.
Lets get the facts straight...He didn't test positive for Ephedra...it is on records that both of them tested positive for anabolic steroids, not a banned banned substance such as Ephedra. Ephedra is not a steroid or classified as a steroid. According to some sources, they say it was Nandrolone. Also, some articles do say that Roy Jones (and other athletes) were linked to balco but never mentioned through the media. I'm not taking away or saying that Roy didn't train properly with Mackie to condition his body....he absolutely nutrioned and trained properly to gain muscle, but I believe he also took steroids to add to his nutrition and training. Roids don't work if you take them and sit around and eat potato chips. Obviously, there is a reason why many atheletes around the world, olympic to baseball to football use them; they work when used properly. They make a good hitter into a superman hitter. They don't make Joe Smith from around the corner make it into the Major Leagues and brake home run records; they make a guy like Barry Bonds who is already in the Major Leagues with great talent excel further and break records.
