A guy Martinez's age will drop to 150lbs or as close as he can get to it for the payday he'd receive from Pacquiao. You're naive to think otherwise.

It's well documented that Roach demands fighters be drained before stepping into the ring with Pacquiao. He would not take the fight with Martinez at 153lbs. 152lbs would be the absolute highest and I'd bet on 151lbs.

lets see...a 160 pound champion, will meet 3 pounds above the welterweight limit? and if he should do that then its his ****ing fault... sergio is a headliner on HBO now and is making some good bank... anyone that thinks Roach is some kind of puppet master and makes fighters come in drained is just stupid.....if pac wants a middleweight belt, then its up to the middleweight champ to not agree to any dumbass catch weight

Yeah.. I was on ESB trying to give you the benefit of the doubt after tons of meaningless uninformed posts focused on anything negative about Floyd. You actually seem like you TRY to make educated posts so I haven't blocked you like some of the other posters... That post almost did it. :good

IT's a great fight at 154 or above. Below 154 will only create more excuses for those who have a hard time accepting PAC's accomplishments. PAC in any of the fights he's taken have placed him at a disadvantage no matter how badly those who discredit PAC want to spin the situation. However...i don't see PAC winning at 154 or above. I don't see sergio having an easy time but I do think the size, style and talent of Sergio will be enough to see him winning this one. Fight of the year candidate for sure.

Fight at 154 should be great. Sergio used to fight at 154 until he moved up and fought PW the first time. I would like to see this fight at 154.

Roach knows who Pac can beat better than Pac does. Roach knew Pac could take ODLH when Pac doubted it.

Im pretty sure Pac can beat Martinez...it'll be a boxing match and Pac is simply the much better boxer.

First and foremost WTF does PBF have to do with anything? Secondly, does Manny not currently possess the belt that Sergio vacated when he won Pavlik's belt? So Pac is a "champion" (so he claims) of the 154 lb what's the problem in defending his 154 lb belt against the last guy to have it? Why would he not defend his 154 lb title, at 154, there's no need for a catchweight, unless of course you are saying his "title" and being considered a champion in this division is a farce and has no merrit. I mean it can't keep being both ways, you pawn off Martinez as being too big, yet you have no problem claiming the man is a champion in this division, he's either not a champion or the guys isn't too big, one or the other.

He is right that this is the fight outside of may/pac that everyone would want to see. would gladly dish out $ for this one, wouldnt say the same thing about ssm/pac.

dont know that they could agree on a weight though sergio probably wouldnt go under 154-155 and i dont see pac going above 150, will be tough. hope for the best though would be a great fight

Thankfully boxing historians will look upon Pacs career as greatness and the sad ****s in this thread will be irrelevant. Seriously why do you guys insist on constantly criticising an ATG of our time with little or no positives?

    154.

    Then it's not a catchweight.
