Very skillful, very exciting fighter to watch when he wants to be.

What do people think? Who can he fight to make the boxing world stand up and take notice?

I am watching his fight with Salido at the moment... great stuff

He's a great fighter already that can't seem to catch a break. His career was slowed up by his wife's cancer and now the shoulder, good thing is he's still young enough to make it work. He's a really good fighter and I think he can beat a lot of top guys up to JWW, maybe WW.

I like him a lot but I did have some skepticism about his move to 140 or even to 147, specifically with regard to whether guys would respect his punches. The Maidana fight would have been a perfect gauge of that and an awesome style match-uo, but jumping right in with Khan or Mayweather as his manager is always calling for seems like a poor idea to me.

Would have loved to have seen him fight Rios (who I think he would school) at 135, but typical Top Rank/Golden Boy bull**** of course kept that fight from ever being in the realm of possible.

i'd like to see how his shoulder heels up before i speak on his future. he was getting there....but i think the shoulder injury may have killed his hopes.

Yes he needs that signature win to become elite. I think he can do it.

One good win at 140... 147 at this point should not even be in his radar.

So erratic. Sometimes he looks deadly and invincible, sometimes he bores you to tears.

No! He's not! He is one helluva fighter but he has more than just one or two fights to go before he is considered an elite fighter. That's for me. For others it may be their opinion. He has to go through the gauntlet of the best young fighters without taking a loss. He can't look to become an elite fighter by defeating a Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. He won't get as much credit for knocking off a fading fighter. He needs to establish his own run to the top. That's my take on it nothing more.

Guerrero has the talent, he just needs the fights. The Maidana fight was going to be his welcome into the elite (and I think he would have stopped Maidana)... but typical Guerrero bad luck stopped that from happening. He's 1 Kotelnik-type fighter + a Rios fight away from elite.
