I´m a huge Duran fan but yeah, he is a bit overrated. Still greater than Pac, Leonard and so on though.

Looks like he's getting underrated as a welterweight

Personally, i think he is the best pure fighter that ever laced up the gloves. An agressive come forward fighter with power in each hand who was next to impossible to hit cleanly with a chin to match. The fact he took on the likes of Hearns (154) Benetiz (154) Moore (154) Hagler (160) and Barkley (160) when he was actually a prime LW is testiment to him. Wins against Estaban (twice), Buchanan, Lampkin, the Viruet brothers and Marcel, combined with his overall dominace, solidifies him in the top 3 LWs ever (personally he is my GOAT LW). Then he has a very underrated win against Polomino, with one of the greatest wins of all time against a prime SRL.

The best pure boxer to ever step in the ring for me, but his loses means he isnt my GOAT.

I don't think he is the best pure boxer but I think he is probably the most skilled fighter to ever get in the ring. That doesn't make him the best, I don't think he is the best, being the best is an issue of effectiveness, which involves many things. But yeah, likely the most skilled to ever do it, you can see this by watching him, not much analysis needed as long as you have half a brain.
