Oh yeah, I remember that - he had Ray on ***** street and it took him until the eighth to recover. But I also remember Ray trading on the inside quite a lot.

I hear you but i sometimes think length of reign is often overrated in peoples assessment. People rate the time in years as important over the number of defences and the quality involved.

Seems to me that Leonard is penalised because he essentially cherrypicked some of the best fighters of all time and beat them. I find that more impressive with inactivity/ injuries involved.

That's because Duran hustled him to the ropes. It's not like he waved him in there like Ali or anything.

Nationalism is a funny thing. My pal was born over here, as was his parents, but he calls himself Italian. Look at Macklin, English born but considers himself a paddy. At the end of the day, it's how u feel yourself. Does anyone no what Bobby Fitz fought about it? Did he consider himself English or NZ?

Im pretty sure he considered himself a Kiwi. He of course then became an American citizen so its very sketchy.

It seems however he was much more likely to consider himself a Kiwi or even American above being British.

If we're claiming Lewis then we're claiming Fitz.

    1 Duran
    2 Ali
    3 SRL
    4 Pea

That's a lock for me. Then I would probably say Pacquaio or Hagler are fighting for 5th place, with Hopkins and Monzon just below along with Roy Jones and then probably Chevez
