Is roberto Duran the most over hyped fighter in history ?

The man was a good lightweight,he cleared out what would be classed as a fairly weak division today, then had his only exceptional victory vs Leonard, which Leonard went on to prove twice was a fluke, and that he'd just fought a dumb fight.after that night there is not one victory over an elite level fighter right through his career yet it is common place for him to be in the top 10 p4p all time, how can this be ?

Macmand is usually a better troll than this. He usually comes up with a little off-the-wall ****, not some debate that's been done 5,000 times.

Good lightweight? ha. Imagine a lightweight today moving up through the divisions and going 12 rounds with Golovkin? People would be in awe.

He wasn't a good light weight he was an ATG light weight. Then jumped 2 divisions and beat once of the best fighters ever, yes he lost the rematches but so did Frazier against Ali, it doesn't change the fact he beat Leonard and forced Leonard to fight a specific way in the rematches to win.

He went 12 competitive rounds against one of the greatest middleweights of all time in a division he had no business being in. The likes of Mosley, Whitaker and Mayweather haven't dared go as high as middleweight let alone against a great like Hagler.

Leonard fought dumb, the manner in which he destroyed Duran in a rematch then again in the rubber would suggest it was a fluke.
Whoever mentioned pac,pac has beaten far better opposition than Duran and it's not even debatable, barring Leonard duran never beat no one special

No, that would be Mayweather, Marciano, Jack Johnson, Jim Jeffries, or possibly Roy Jones. People get pretty nuts when discussing any one of them.

Ok,well apart from Leonard, which like we know was emphatically reversed twice, name me a number 1 fighter he beat above lightweight ...... Good luck with that one

The silence is deafening,as the answer is zero.pac beat number 1 fighter in more or less every division thru 8 divisions,Duran gets credit for losing against great fighters he didn't beat any

Yes, Duran is one of those fighters whom boxing "fans" who don't actually watch boxing and just read Boxrec career records might actually think is overrated. In this context, "fans" is another word for "morons".
