Rock would cut to LHW these days. He'd have to bulk up to compete at CW or end up having his career cut short by the constant wear and tear of having to compete with skilled and athletic bigger men. That might adversely affect his speed, stamina or any number of other things.

Even if he competes in one offs against the best CWs in history he loses to Evander and Usyk.

Rocky was a tough fighter boxer man . Give U a free shot to get U in range then payback . Would Fury give Wilder a free shot on da chin , nar that style be to hard for most boxer's of today . Jack Johnson a tough man as well . Can't take anything away for what they achieved .

Sorry, if I offend someone, but I find, that Marciano is one of the most overrated ever. He fought old men and old former lightheavyweights. Now, if we debate Rocky's chances in the lightheavyweigt or cruiserweight divisions in the modern era, I think his chances are somewhat noneexistent. Men like Roy Jones Jr. would murder him. James Toney would have an easy pointdecision win, and I could go on and on. I am not a 'hater', I just voice my opinion on how I see things.

He's a TINY CW. My favourite fighter of all time along with Duran. He was unique, special power & unique fighting style. Never get tired of watching his fights. If we are classing him as a CW then yes he's right up there along with Evan Fields & Usyk..

How can anyone even consider Marciano in a top 100 spot as a champion? For christ's sake, Marciano got decked by an old lightheavyweigt. Usyk, Holyfield would play with Marciano. Marciano was in a life and death battle with old, totally shot lightheavyweight Charles. Marciano doesn't deserve a spot as an all time great, he doesn't come near it.

Old men & LHWs? He was a LHW basically... James Toney was a roided blob at LHW & CW.. couldn't beat Griffin despite two attempts.. lost to Thadzi.. went life & death with Jirov.. you think 15 rounds with ATG Marciano would be a Toney shutout? LOL.. Also let's look at their age.. Charles was 33.. Marciano was 30.. Walcott was 38.. ye ok, but he was also the HW champion and had just knocked out Charles .. so if not Walcott who did u want Marciano to fight? LOL.. Moore was 41 yes but he was called the old mongoose for a reason.. hadnt been beat in years & had just beaten Valdez twice, Johnson twice, Maxim 3 times & Olson.. you any idea of the equivalent of that today? Valdez was the cream of the crop of Cuban HWs.. Johnson was one of the best LHWs of the 50s.. Maxim has wins over men like SRR & Floyd Patterson.. & Olsons resume leading up to Moore is like a who's who of 50s boxing.. that's some proper p4p **** from Moore.. so ye he was 41 but didn't stop Ali or Patterson fighting him when he was much older than that did it? As for Louis 37... is it really any worse than Tyson fighting men like Holmes 39.. or Lewis fighting a 35 & 37 year old Tyson & Holyfield.. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the age thing.. look at Foreman & Vitali.. sometimes they're still pretty good even late 30s & 40s.. & if you still don't want to give him credit then remember he also beat men like Rex Layne.. who had beaten younger versions of Walcott & Charles.. he also beat Roland Lastarza an undefeated highly regarded contender... old & young Marciano whooped em.. he beat the best available to him despite being short & having the reach of a FW LOL.. the guys an ATG. 100%.

Good post Marciano was only 5'10 185 pounds with 67 inch reach, he wasn't a big guy himself. It's not like Marciano was a 200 pound + Heavyweight beating up on Light Heavyweights their size was comparable.

That's why you can't compare eras like that its totally different.

Honestly, I don't think Marciano would have had the skills to be rated in the top ten in todays lightheavy- and cruiserweightdivisions. Of course, this is just my personal subjective opinion, and I could be wrong. Basically, I think Marciano is one of the worst fighters, pound for pound, to ever get a hold on a title. I can't believe the myth about this man, I just don't get it, sorry, sorry.

With zero cut and eating like an absolute animal, literally eating like someone with a serious problem, Rocky was basically a modern LHW.

Modern weight making and recovery would put him at 168lbs for his first title shot. He’s box at cw, probably, like canelo did at LHW - for big money and another title only.

speaking of money, as a white American and a huge puncher, he’d be among the wealthiest in history.

He may well have been able to cut to 168, though I think he finds his comfort zone at 175. No way he'd be a cruiserweight unless he gets old, fat and can't cut to 175 anymore, but by that point his best days are behind him.

It's odd people keep considering Marciano a cruiserweight. They just don't understand how big modern day cruiserweights are. Ali could have cut to cruiserweight and not been badly weight drained.

Had Marciano fought today, he most likely would have fought as a supermiddleweigth. At times he was as low as 178. At around 185 in his titlefights, dehydrate from 185 to 168 would be 17 pounds. He was smallish compared to todays cruisers, who fight around 210 at fight times.
