Is Roger Mayweather an overrated as a trainer

Hate Roger or like him, but Mayweather offense is his works

Good good, well ESB or boxingnews24 forums has been picking itself up lately and we are starting to have lots of posters again like it use to be. I remember when it was almost a dead/silent forums about 2-3 months ago but i can tell it is alive again :happy

I never once said I knew more than him...but it's true, he ****en sucks as a trainer and is LUCKY, I mean LUCKY to have Floyd in his ****en family....if not for Floyd, what the **** would roger be doing right now besides sucking cawk for crack ???

Floyd sr, who imo is a better trainer than him sucks too....they seem to wanna teach everyone floyds way of fighting, but forget that Floyd has a ****en GIFT....they do not, I repeat DO NOT know how to play into their fighters natural attributes and styles........and that's a fact

 

If that was true then how come Floyd looks exactly like Sr and nothing like Roger.

 

his mittwork is actually really really good. Instead of simply using them for hand and eye coordination while throwing combos, it gets you used to throwing back as soon as possible

 

He got a lot better under Roach and has gone backwards since leaving.

I think so. Under Roach Khan won his world titles, beat some good opposition and he looks worse with Hunter (early days but his offense has suffered imo)

Roach has done well with the likes of Chavez Jr and Provodnikov recently. And of course Pacquaio.

 

If anyone truly wants to see how bad of a trainer Roger Mayweather is. . . go back and watch his "brilliance" in the Mickey Bey Jr. fight

Mickey essentially lost that fight because he chose to LISTEN to Roger Mayweather
