I think Roberto Duran could have given him all he could handle

I think Moore COULD have won at 175, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Foster would be very very dangerous to Jones at 175, as would Spinks and Qawi. Any of the three would be small faves over him i reckon.

at 160-168 rjj is close to unbeatable. i was'nt even a fan of his in his prime.

arguello for me is an unbeatable h2h fighter for anyone at 130. floyd jr. is the only fighter in that weight class i would favor against arguello in a 12 rounder. but in 15 rounders, arguello takes it.

Arguello was indeed a machine at 130, but I have to favor PBF in a head to head matchup (although it makes for a close fight)

its only in hindsight you could say there was certain things you could do to beat jones at 168 because when he fought there his chin being suspect was not known by any of his opponents and if they made mistakes he made them pay everytime so , at that particular time very few opponents took the chances needed .

its possible that a cautious , tall counterpuncher like tarver with a bit of pop to make jones respectful would always cause roy problems , but that is a maybe because jones was definatly not prime when he fought tarver, and even in the fights v ruiz and before that he had turned into a very low output single punch pottshotter take a walk fighter.

I think so. Lopez and Duran are good picks also.

But Roy's speed/power ratio was so unreal, he is my pick

im not so sure - calzaghe might have been the one to beat rjj at 168 - he never stayed there long enough i dont think to truly draw a definite conclusion (well as definite as you can without a fight).. cal has such a major fear of losing you get the feeling he'd do anything to stop it from happening - he would be rjj's closest challenger in speed, and although rjj had the more natural gifts athletically, calz is possibly far more ring intelligent and savvy - the way he played kessler and adapted - at his age, was fantastic. rjj v calz in their primes (although joe appears to have two primes - one athletically, one mentally) would have been a spectacle i believe

At 160 and 168 he's as good as anyone ever has been, i would pick him over Hagler, even money with Monzon, maybe Greb could beat him. But at (super)middleweight he's got utterly devastasting power, never showed chin problems, inhuman reflexes and faster than any other middleweight in the history of the filmed sport.

At 175 i'd favor a couple of guys over him, though.

Jimmy Wilde and Eder Jofre are two great choices here too.

Most regard Robinson at welter to be the closest to unbeatable althought Gomez at 122 and Armstrong at featherweight.
