watch ali v liston and the ali from 64-67,then watch peak patterson and peak tyson, then compare with the jones from the ruiz fight, not the 160-75 jones.

I never considered RJ to be a heavyweight. So no, he isn't the fastest HW. Yes he did have one fight at heavy, but this does not make RJ a HW.

My paradigm of a HW in boxing fits in the parameters of someone who is naturally 200+ or someone who may be under 200 lbs but fought most of their career at HW (200+). This is not RJ.

This is the most stupidist question ever. Roy Jones isn't a heavyweight so this argument is mute.

Not likely. His speed against Ruiz was magnified by Ruiz lack of speed.

I'd take a prime Ali from what I've seen over the years. Not that I think Larry Holmes is the fastest, but against Marvis Frazier I could barely see Holmes punches the combo's were so fast. Anyone else notice this or was I just too f%$#ed up that night.

one fight against a fighter of the high caliber of john ruiz does not make rjj a heavyweight.

Tyson is faster than Jones at Heavy.

Fastest 5 punch combination in history.
