That's because his management team have kept him away from punchers. Seriously, how many puncher's has Ruiz fought. Remember, he visited the canvas twice against an old Golota. Fact is, Ruiz has a glass chin and he doesn't have the speed or defense to protect it. The only thing that has kept him upright is that he has been matched up with no punchers for more than a decade now. Haye will knock him out, no problem. Not because Haye is that good, but because Ruiz can take a shot and his mediocre skills have declined even further.

Why don't you save yourself six hours and do it now?

Well, one thing. Ruiz does much better with bigger opponents. It is apparent. Had a hard time with both RJJ and Toney. Fighting Haye will be like fighting a younger Holyfield with pop.

I'm all for making fun of the American HW scene right now, but I can't seriously see Ruiz as the best the USA has to offer.
They have Austin and Thompson, and even with the recent whooping they got in their quest for a part of the world title I still rate Chambers and even Arreola above Ruiz.

It's all very, very poor, but Ruiz still isn't the best of them, and that says a lot.

Of course he is not the same fighter, but the Valuev fights I thought he won both. Wait a minute, Holyfield, Kirk Johnson, Rachman, and Q has a decent punch. His style smothers punchers. He has called out the brothers on numerous occasions. He does much better when he is fighting for a belt. I just think he has a chance tonight and if he loses then that skinny kid I grew up with in Chelsea should just retire and enjoy his riches with his family.

Tony Thompson would also beat Ruiz.

Arreola, Chambers and Thompson, are both leagues above Ruiz now. Ruiz hasnt won anything meaningful since 2004... Being said though he is a warrior who will fight anyone anywhere.

Ruiz is the only former Heavyweight 'champion' in history to lose to TWO former Middleweights. What a disgrace.:rofl:patsch
