Why are these three so obvious to beat Ruiz? Chambers got crushed, Areola was crying and Thompson feinted when he saw a hook coming and he got counted out. Yes, are three fought one of the brothers and Ruiz hasn't. If by some chance he wins tonight, maybe it can happen. Question; If Haye owes Valuev a rematch due to the rematch clause, well, what if Ruiz does win. Does Ruiz have to honor that clause? There is a long line of fighters almost set for the WBA.
Because Ruiz hasn't beaten anyone of note in 5 years and some of the others have. Really, have you looked at his record of late? Yes, he looked halfway decent against a faded, overrated Valuev, but he lost, twice. Thompson, on the other hand, managed to look pretty good against Wlad before he got kayoed. And chambers and Arreoloa. Well, I think most of us agree that those were terrible matchups for both fighters, especially Chambers. Of course, only time will tell, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Chambers regain his status as a number one contender in a few years. He's only 27 and has more natural talent in his stool than Ruiz does in both hands.
I truly believe Chambers should move down to CW. There is no such thing as 210 HW champs anymore. I mean, if he really wants to be a champion some day. As far as Ruiz, he has been champ twice. We could have said the same for Tua and he never came close to winning a title. Ruiz might lack the natural talent of Chambers, but he uses what he has to win. By the way, I give Chambers much credit for even getting in the ring with Vlad. As far as Ruiz record of late, this is for a title. I'm pretty sure Ruiz is not going to lay down for Haye. Ruiz always has that sneaky right of his. What time is that fight schedule for?
What a sad state of american heavyweight boxing when this many people say our best heavyweight is Arreola.
I'd say he probably is America's best at the moment. He is certainly better than (the Mexican) Arreola, Chambers, and Johnson. Ruiz is hated due to his style, but he's a damn hard fighter to beat, and he'll fight anyone. Let's show some love for the Quiet Man as he takes on a vicious, fast fighter like Haye. Ruiz knows no fear...........:good
Well the American heavyweight division is in the ****ing hole right now, so yeah you could argue that Ruiz is the best American heavyweight. However that is sort of like glorifying the skinnest kid at fat camp. Just because he's skinny in comparison to others around him, doesn't mean he aint fat. Same logic works for Ruiz as a heavyweight.
Chris Arreola is OR even the non-trying ******* Kevin Jonson is, hell Eddie Chambers is better. He is probably 4 or 5 on the list.
