I don't know which is worse, using a strategy in which you actually bore your opponent to the point where he completely forgets he's in a boxing ring and you KO him in the eleventh, OR, the same strategy and you lose a UD. How can Johnny sleep at night.

 

It's weird, his ratio of low talent to high level of accomplishment means that he will be both highly overrated (due to the spoils of the latter) and underrated (due to how far he was able to carry the former).

Did any of you idiots watch his fights? The guy mauled, grabbed, clinched, held, hugged like an octopus he has no skills to speak of can't knock anyone out. It was IMPOSSIBLE to score his fights there was such little punching it was all holding and wrestling.



And he resorted on several occasions to faking low blows to either win fights or gain an extra break.

He also is the ONLY Heavyweight to lose to not one but two former middleweights one who is a fat slob and the other that has a Chin so bad he can't even take the punches of feather fisted Glen Johnson.

John Ruiz is a disgrace to the sport of Boxing he has had perhaps 3 of the four most boring fights in the past 10 years of the division. The guy is ****.
