Provodnikov is better than Ward or Gatti ever were and nobody wanted them to go away. Boxing board denizens are some sad F'ers.

    I don't think so.

The Machine is just a very hard guy to beat. And he still was a fanny hair away from the victory.

He has a good shot at beating Vargas and Broner.

Theres tons of great fights left for him.

My concern is his health maybe he should retire. Hes proven all there is to prove.

He needs to go up to 147. He did better against Bradley and that was at 147.
Also he most definitely needs a better trainer, who is his trainer now? Roach has Pacquiao and Cotto, he wasnt even in Ruslan's corner.

Marvin something, Roach's assistant. If Roach can't step away for 2 days to be in Provo's corner, he needs to find someone else. This Marvin wasn't saying anything of substance but, candidly, they had a bad game plan for him anyway.

He has got to learn how to cut off the ring...period!! If he improved his jab and could could the ring off he would win. **** he almost won last night!

That's how I feel. He can absolutely compete with the best. He arguably defeated Algeri and he could have gotten draw last night by some. It's just his style takes such punishment I think he should reconsider a new career. Save his money and get out early.

I think his flaws and limitations are out there and he has certainly been exposed

That said you gotta walk through hell to beat him

I think Ruslan can make a few tweaks and fix a few flaws

All his losses have been close 3-4 being debatable

A few adjustments here or there and those can be wins

Only the last fight was a real loss. His previous 3 losses were very questionable. If he didn't get brain damage last night and his chin is still made of iron, he can continue .

He's not done but he can't go on like this. Either he needs to change his style and hire someone to improve his defenses, or he shouldn't fight anyone who punches harder than Algieri. If neither applies, then he should retire for his own well being.

He's not elite, he's been exposed. Everyone has a weakness and his is quite evident now.
