Writers are too quick to pick a Fab 5 over nostalgia of the 80s. Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Sugar Ray all faced each other and there is only 1 fight among those guys out of possible 10 matchups. But answering the question I think he is in the bottom, one victory doesn't make you king
Yoka, Campbell Hatton, Prince Patel, Jake Paul and the son of the legendary Tire Iron Jones*. *Credit due to @cross_trainer for educating me.
They're all very good, teo has the least skills by far though. He's a physical specimen which makes up for it a little bit.
If we are talking all-time or pound for pound based on achievements then none of these guys belong in a conversation with Lomachenko. He is easily the best of this group. If we are talking who is the best, right now, at this moment, then that is a different conversation. Loma isn't as great at 135 as he was at lower weights and, while he has still looked good in his recent fights, the level of skill has not been quite the same as has gotten older. Garcia isn't ready for him yet and Tank could never beat him. Lopez has a bit to prove at this point but he could possibly beat him a second time. Haney would give The Matrix the most trouble and I believe he is the best right now of this group at 135.
(Lomachenko aside) None of these guys have fought each other yet. Hopefully what looked like a really great round robin of lightweight fighters ("Four Kings") isn't looked back upon as having the biggest battles fought between them on social media, ("Twitter Kings")
I just don't know, I have never been sold on Garcia but he sort of impresses me here and there. My only concern is his chin, Luke Campbell wasn't far away from sparking him.
No such thing as a fab 5. Who cares until they actually fight? SRL fought Duran Hearns Benitez ( Duran 1-1, Benitez 1- 0, Hearns 1-0 and all 3 by TKO) SRL is the best of the kings. Hearns 2nd, Duran and Benitez can go wherever. @McGrain
Let’s not even go there with this Fab 5 talk. They aren’t even scratching the surface of the original Fab 4. Until they actually manage to fight each other theres no way that this should even be considered as a Fab 5, horsemen, or whatever people call it these days.
if shakur has a sturdy jaw, he beats all of them at 135. haney will get hurt by all of them, survive some, but not all. i think ryan is too big for tank, and teo might be too, although he matches up better with him. ryan has the most physical advantages. the combination of size and length, with the speed and the power, makes him the most dangerous if they can get him dialed in. tank has a punchers chance, but his size, when taking shots from guys who can hit, and they all hae the speed to find him, is gonna be a problem as they go rds. theyre all talented, the final outcome will depend on who makes the right decisions in and out of the ring. like most things in life. my money is on shakur, as far as future elite performances.
