This is the swan song for Salido. Tough and dirty fighter. He will not stop but I think his team will save him from himself around the 8th.
Just happy to see the fight is on the way.
I predict pain, blood and some nice WWE moves come fight night.:headbash:rosstheboss

Salidos current standing doesnt matter, Loma should beat him when he has the chance.

Exactly, this is a necessary legacy fight, to have at least some counter-argument against the loss to Salido.

Not really. He's as good as Roman Martinez or Sosa, if not a little better. There's nobody better than Salido at feather or super featherweight currently. If Lomachenko wants to step up from Salido's level he'll have to fight Mikey Garcia or Jorge Linares at lightweight, or wait for somebody new to come along.

This. Neither Sosa or Walters are better than Salido. Loma's best win, which is Roman Martinez had already been knocked out by Garcia and had been in to wars with Salido before Loma fought him.

Sosa, Walters and Russell Jr are better wins than Martinez but all three are yet to prove that they are better than Salido.

When he goes on to accomplish what Pac has, or close to it, then we can compare it to Torrecampo.

The loss is magnified because of the hype he was receiving, because of what he was touted to be.

Salido was considered past it for the 400+ fight amateur Loma and has clearly declined after his last 5 brutal wars.

Salido is rated top 5 by ESPN, TNBR, and Ring and in the past few years has been in with Lomachenko, Martinez, and Vargas and none of them have a clear win over him, some even think he's won all those fights.

He's still a top jr lightweight operating at a high level.

I think the only guys Lomachenko's faced that I'd rate ahead of Salido are Walters, Russell, and Salido from their first fight(assuming they rematch).

Salido's clearly not a step back and is a good opponent when all things are factored in-rankings, current record, and beat Lomachenko already.

Still, its not a fight to get overly excited about, Lomachenko has gotten much better while Salido has gotten older and more war torn and it would be a big surprise if Lomachenko doesn't win the rematch handily.
