I think Sam is in deep water. IMO he has hit the bottom mentally. 265 lbs for what Peter and his team knew was a make or break fight just shows no desire or commitment to me.

    thoughts?

Peter should call Toney out for a eating competition, the winner takes it all! or the loser retires first!

After that performance, I don't see any public demand unless he can be considered a gatekeeper, if he wants that roll. But yes, you have to wonder about his desire. How motivated does he have to be to sweat pounds off in Nigeria? They poaching an elephant preserve to feed him? And Vitali took crap for pulling a sled through the snow in another thread? Maybe had Sam dragged the elephant out of the preserve instead of just eating it......:D

    I believe he is done.

The fight against Chambers was Peters Chance to come back. But he came into the fight with 265 lbs. He did not train hard. He could win, but he had to loose 25 lbs to come into fight shape. This is much. He had to work hard and he need someone who tells him "what to eat, how much".

Sad for Peter. He brings some exciting into the division and now he waste it.

But if he loose some weight he can be a a in the mix.

Everybody is gonna want to fight him now. So, his fat ass ain't going no where, unless Peter decides to hang them up.

He never got started to be done, the guy just had some punching power and once put up against a true challenge got laid out. (metaphorically speaking)

Didn't he get knocked down against James McCline actually? but he fell after the bell aha.

You know when he was humiliated by Vitali, that was it.

The way he was made like a punching bag was pitiful, especially by someone who just came back from a 4 year retirement period and numerous injuries.

    Very much done for me.

Now he's just a big fat gate keeper. A fight with Chris Arreola would be fun.
