Considering it's brought nothing but negative press it can hardly be good for the sport. I see The Sun have an interview with Paul Butlin today. He reckons Chisora should be booted out of boxing to, ahem, "save the sport."
Unfortunately it's got a bloody large amount of readers, most of whom probably never knew of the 'biting' incident, let alone heard of Paul Butlin.

great for boxing Whatever your feelings on the rights and wrongs, boxing is all over the news. It'll translate into higher ticket sales etc.
This is the fight business. This is a sport where people bash each other in the head for our and their own pleasure. If you don't like the territory that goes with it then find another sport to watch. These childishly absurd views and romantic notions about the ethics of a sport which by all accounts is barbourous is simply ridiculous. Yes it shouldn't have happened but the reaction from the media and many on here is farcical. If you don't like what comes with boxing then find something more warm and cuddly to watch.
