Yeah, without a doubt. The real Saunders has just officially entered the building, and if he can keep this current form, he's near impossible for anyone to look good against, or beat.

It's irrefutable. He's top 10 slickest MWs of all time too.

    At his best... imo... yes.

I think that Jacobs and Canelo are still in the race and can make a case for it down the line, especially since I believe Canelo will beat Golovkin next, but if we are going strictly right now, and who I actually think wins these matchups... yes I think Saunders is the best since Pirog, minus G.

In fact, I think one of his wins, Eubank, probably beats Jacobs and Canelo.

I like this division and I look forward to seeing how it plays out. I could still be underestimating Canelo and Jacobs, so I look forward to see what they produce in the next two years (hard to see DJ not move up though hes huge) and also Im very excited to see what Charlo brings to the table.

Where's the, let's see him do that to top level opposition before jumping the gun option?

I would say Jacobs is better at the moment.

Take into account not just tonight's result, lest anyone think I'm saying this as knee-jerk response to merely having managed to outbox David freaking Lemieux- but also think of Spike's brutal withering down and kayo of the well-regarded Douglas in the co-feature. Think of what Chris Eubank Jr. has gone on to do since he played 2nd fiddle to BJS. Think of how many zeroes Saunders has snatched. Think about how many rounds he has won, against good fighters.

You know though, how boxing works is.... in his next fight Saunders will fight a tune up, he will come in looking like crap, he will lose in a shocking upset, and we will all be made to look stupid for saying this.

In boxing, professionalism is so important. I am not sure Saunders has it enough to remain on top long enough to solidify his legacy. I hope he proves he can though (well... I hope he proves he can until he fights G or Eubank, then I hope G or Eubank beat him )

If we could put him in a time machine to face off with prime Grandmaster...whoo boy, that would be a lotta slickness in one ring.

Nah I still rate Jacobs above him. Canelo has had too few fights at MW. No doubt that performance was brilliant but it's crude Lemieux after all. I think Lemieux's crude style just let Saunders look absolutely amazing. If he beats Jacobs then definitely, but I think Jacobs style will be a nightmare for him.

There's no reason Jacobs and Saunders should not fight. The winner of that fight faces the winner of GGG/Canelo.
