I haven't reduced this place to anything you jackass, its exactly the same now as it was when I started posting back in 2014, quite frankly its exactly the same as when I started following the site without posting back in 2008 or 09. Just because I disagree with you and usually do back it up with facts sometimes literally in the form of a massive article, but its something I do less and less with you lately, since I consider you a worthless troll and a buffoon, so you try to slander and demean my character and paint me as biased instead, ironic coming from the most biased poster on the site. You are a deranged fanboy that stalks this site for anything vaguely related to Canelo Alvarez and launch full throated hissy fits and temper tantrums on anyone who merely suggests Fighter X can beat Alvarez. Grow up, its just boxing, quit taking everything so goddamned seriously.

No Martinez & Canelo are. Both would beat him...

    No.

No no no no no no no no no no.

If one more person mentions Maravilla, their stupid ass is getting banned.

I very specifically thought up the phrasing of the thread title, and had Maravilla in mind when I did, and went through with this exact specific phrasing anyway.

Even counting the end of the Pirog era as May of 2012 when he last graced the ring (and not a year and a half later, when he made the final serious - if unsuccessful - comeback attempt after back surgery, and even then I don't think he officially called it quits until as late as maybe 2015) - that means there were only three nights left in Maravilla's career. JCC Jr., Murray, and Cotto. He got dropped in the former two, holding on to win unanimous decisions but looking unspectacular versus Murray (and having a walking punching bag that once got outboxed by a ceiling fan standing haplessly in front of him all night for eleven rounds in Julio) and didn't even belong anywhere near a sanctioning/licensing committee for the Cotto fight.

If anybody wants to make a case for the post-5/2012 version of Maravilla being an even "good" middleweight, let alone the best of the last 5 years, go nuts. Personally, as with the majority of boxing fans with so much as half a functioning brain cell, I think even a 2011 Maravilla would KTFO of any of the three versions of Maravilla that fought in the post-Pirog era.

So enough about him. I love me some Sexy Sergio, but he isn't relevant to this conversation.

We could have Golovkin fight Saunders if someone would put up enough money, then he could skip fighting El Pollo and fight the runner! Golovkin is not Lemieux, he is totally superior!!!!!!!

Absolutely nothing wrong with matching Hagler v Bjs. Both world champions at the same weight.

Yes he probably is,some of us have known this for a while with CST80 singing his praises long ago though after he won the belt off Lee and looked to be going the same way as his erstwhile companion Tyson Fury I had my doubts he'd fulfill his early promise but his move to Ingle has been a revelation.
You know for all his bafoonery you've got admire how honest he is about himself so in a recent interview he actually said "I ain't gonna get carried away with all these plaudits after beating Lemiuex as this time last year I was holding the belt hostage and was a disgrace"
How refreshing is it to hear the truth about themselves like this, can you imagine Canelo ever coming out with something like this?
Lol re Canelo have you seen BJS troll him at the UK stop on the GGG v Canelo tour?so funny as Saunders asks him "why did you drop your WBC belt"so the interpreter says after Canelos long winded answer in Spanish "do you want me to interpret that" to which Saunders replies "I think I can interpret that and I'm calling bull**** lol so funny.

Boxing so so subjective which is why I guess so many on here just fall out over this stuff but re Lemieux I've always thought the exact opposite to what you're seeing so much so that every time I see him I can picture him in black n white from the 1930s or something, his movement looks very old style to me like a traditional crusher like opponent,he fights with bent legs and stoops over which made some question the respective heights given the other night but it's just that Lemiuex doesn't use his height.

Obviously has that explosive one punch power but speed I never associated with him.

Absolutely spot on,this is what some folk don't seem to realise that he beat the man who is now potentially the no 1 super middleweight as that tournament has been made to turn Eubank into a star imo.
BJS has already been building a solid resume with Lee,Eubank,Lemiuex and then guys like The awkward Willie Monroe and recent winner Spike O Sullivan....not too shoddy is it that?

I wish Eubank never went to super. Would have loved to see him in the mix at middle and add his name in to possible fights there. Would loooove to see a rematch with BJS.
