But Kovalevs best or second best win is a near 50 year old Hopkins. If you think so little of older fighters why are you arguing that Kovalev is an ATG?

But even if you feel that Kovalev vs Ward was a close fight where either guy could have edged it, you need to give credit to Kovalev. Just calling it an "L" and not taking into account that the majority scored the fight to him or not even taking into how well he performed against Ward in contrast to Froch or Kessler is feigning ignorance to avoid due credit.

You are going to have to accept that Kovalev vs Ward wasn't just a result, it is a filmed fight that many felt Kovalev outboxed Ward in. Even if it was a close fight.

You keep bringing up JMM vs Pac III. Well that is fight where both fighters really should really get credit. It's also a fight where the majority is divided, Kovalev vs Ward....you know the media scores, you know how most fans feel. You know your opinion is a minority. admittedly kessler was the man at smw longer for sure, but froch was the man too for a while just as calzaghe was the man at smw after he beat kessler and then stopped his smw reign.

Gus Lesnevich was lineal LHW Champion for years, it doesn't make him better than Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, or Jimmy Bivins. Sure..Gus was lineal but Charles was the Man... while Gus was crushing cans, Charles carved out a legendary career and solidified himself as the best fighter in the division Gus supposedly owned.

Stevenson was lineal, Kovalev was the Man.

Kovalev was never the man at 175 dummy he was not the champ Stevenson was those are facts, something you seem to have trouble dealing with. Now the Nail is the man and Kovalev still isn't the champ. Ward proved to be superior in the rematch when he bullied the bully one could say after Ward was knocked down in their first fight from the moment on he mentally beat Kovalev.
