I feel like he should have at least 1 win over Andre Ward to go with a win over Unified Champion albeit old one in Hopkins to go along with 9 title defenses.. That’s enough for me him to be considered ATG LHW.. We should have had a Kovalev vs Stevenson fight and a Kovalev/Ward trilogy.. That answer would have more clear-cut

 

The Ward rematch was pretty damn clear cut. No trilogy needed.

 

The rematch stank from beginning to the end.

Awful refereeing, Wards camp and snake JDJ in cahoots, Ward rousing until the last minute, 3 US judges.

Ward beats Captain Kirk with decks stacked like that.

 

It was ended on 3 low blows with Kovalev up on one card. Fcuk all clear cut about it.

 

Kovalev quit. Don't kid yourself.

 

Kovalev has a better resume than Froch.

 

Only one person kidding themselves, that's you. He went down off multiple low blows and Weeks didn't even give him a count never mind 5 minutes to recover.

 

He folded him over 90 degrees from a nice hook and Weeks stopped it because a championship fighter does not signal that he wants to continue by bending 90 degrees. The fight was over before the last hook even landed. The belt is legal, chief.

 

Not talking about the rematch.. The first fight I feel Kovalev won clear cut the rematch Ward definitely won but both fights were close and there should have been a trilogy.. I feel Ward was a ATG and he and Kov had 2 great fights.. A third was warranted..

 

Who on Kovalevs resume is better than Taylor, Dirrell, Bute, Kessler, Johnson, Groves?

 

Ward, Pascal, Hopkins, Cleverly, Alvarez. Heck even Yarde.

 

You're tripping. Hopkins and Pascal are it. Froch has the better resume.
