Seems a lot of people are upset because Martinez was picking on "smaller fighters", like the taller Dzinzurik. Perhaps they're onto something. Perhaps Martinez finally fought Dzin because he knew he couldn't handle 160. So the question is, if Martinez wasn't such a dirty cheater, and actually fought Dzin at 154 instead of 160, what do you think would have happened?
Sergio beats him all the time even if they fight at Flyweight... The only dirt in Sergio is the fact that he's been getting faster and stronger at 36 when most fighter's are in decline.. Or maybe he's just special only God knows... But no doubt Sergio is an elite fighter and can kill both Pac and Floyd...
Are you serious? It's a bit early to accuse Martinez of "Floyd moves", and even if he was it's a bit over the top to call him a "dirty cheater" because of it! :-( Eveyone who saw the fight knows there had been no change at all if they would have fought at 154.
It definitely had nothing to do with HBO forcing the fight on him. Its not like he wanted to defend his title against the number 1 challenger at 160.
Dzinziruk was a pretty big 154 fighter. As could be seen by the fact that he had a couple of inches on Martinez
Who exactly at Middleweight is a threat to Martinez? He would make any of those guys look silly. SD was a live dog and there was no reason to think he wouldn't be competitive befor the fight. Was it Martinez toughest challenge? No. But this is a guy who fought Paul Williams when no one else would and a always dangerous Pavlik.
Who wants to fight Matinez at 160? Strum & Sylvester wouldnt wanna risk there paper belts when they can fight utter bums in the confines of Germany
