Sergio has 1 legit loss, 1 time he was robbed blatantly and given a draw when he practically destroyed Cintron, second time it was a smaller-scale robbery against Williams.

So I'd say that if he maintains his amazing skills for the next couple of years, beats the snot out of CJR and Cotto, he just might make the hall of fame. In my eyes, he already is a hall of famer.

His resume does pale in comparison to his contemporaries, but he has the makings of a hall of famer. Perhaps his greatest victories are yet to come.

not yet. and if he keeps fighting so litle opposition he wont never.

he has all the talent, but by not cleaning out his division his legacy suffers a lot.

sturm, piroq, lee is a must!!!

lacks the resume, and the showing of his skills against known good fighters to boost his exposure.. he should target..

Cotto/Chavez JR/ Canelo/Ward/ **** even Hopkins DLH made a ballsy move and fought him why can't Martinez? he wants that money, gots to take risk, instead of being a desperate **** calling out WW's like PAC and May.

No, definitely not. He has had neither the long title reign, nor wins over HOF caliber fighters. That simple. It's probably one of the main reasons he's calling out Floyd and Manny every 5 seconds.

What the **** can a win over Pirog or Lee do for Martinez at this point? Nothing! Unless ofcourse Pirog and/or Lee go on a have a lucrative career but other than that nothing at this point. If people think Martinez has a weak resume Pirog and Lee are worst in that department. As a matter of fact all the current "top" Middleweights are weak on the resume department.

The only ones in the MW as of right now that can improve his resume are Sturm, Taylor and Abraham(if he ever comes down to MW)

Help me out by breaking up the other opponents on the division.

Martinez best wins are: Bunema, Williams, Pavlik, Dzinzurik, and Barker. And a "draw" with Cintron that everyone says Martinez should have won. All this already mentioned by a member on here. Now moving the other MW's:

Help me break up these other "top" middleweights:

    Proksa (beat Sylvester)
    Pirog
    Barker (lost to Martinez)
    McKlin ("lost" to Sturm)
    Zbik (lost to Chavez Jr)
    Chavez Jr (beat Zbik)
    Sylvester (lost to Proksa)
    Geale
Sturm ("beat" McKlin, "lost" to ODLH)
    GGG
    Lee

Can they top Martinez "weak" resume? I only see Sturm better due to the fact of his "long reign" as Champ. I see others as up and comers, don't get me wrong they are all good but also with a weaker resume than Martinez.

for what Sergio has done so far he is not a Hall of Famer. He has the potential. Donald Curry is not making the Hall of Fame, so why would Sergio.

No he lacks resume, but does he have the time for the resume. If he fights 3-4 year against good MW's. Does he have the quality for HOF? Hell yeah

No. Not even close. For Christ's sake, it wasn't even until 2009 that he had fought anyone with even a semi-recognizable name. People bash RJJr. fighting drug addicts, sanitation workers, pimps, car salesmen, waiters, drunks, old people, gigolos, crack pots, police officers, fighter fighters, transvestites, etc. But he did fight his fair share of recognizable named fighters. Sergio resume is 1000x's worse!

He needs 1 or 2 BIG fights

Buster Douglas isnt a hall of famer but everyone knows his name because of what he did to Tyson

Id say a win over Pac/Mayweather or Chavez and a top SMW then yes id rate him HOF
