:good Good man. As I said before, Burley is starting to make his home in my rankings as well.

Hall of Famer but no ATG ... he was a great fighter in his own right an accomplished alot of things.

But the losses to Winky and Forrest ... really hurt him in my eyes.

The win over Oscar holds alot of weight, along with his reign at LW ... but wins over Vargas and Collazo mean nothing. Especially considering that Collazo wasn't on his level and they didn't fight for anything and Vargas wasn't the same since his loss to Trinidad.

    3-division world champ
    long reigning champ at LW

    for sure H.O.F'r

I put Shane Mosley in the same boat as Kostya Tszyu and Winky Wright; they all achieved greatness, but fell just short of being remembered as all time greats in my book.

Great fighter yes, ATG no. Using steroids doesn't help his case either.

Based on his accomplishments at Light Weight he is an ATG

His accomplishments at 135 weren't really all that great.

He was extremely fun to watch, and he knocked his out nearly all his opponents, but it isn't like he faced a whole lot of the top lightweights out there during his stay there.

I consider him an ATG, the two wins against DLH clinch it. I know he really lost the 2nd fight but he has the W next his name and that's that.
He was a great Lightweight and if i have one complaint about him it's the fact he skipped Tszyu! ATG...Yes. He is also one of the gentlemen of the sport of boxing and has always conducted himself with dignity in defeat and been humble in Victory.

Why do people say this? Why are boxing fans' memories so short?

He was extremely gracious after losing against Cotto.

He blamed the first loss to Forrest on the clash of heads and said Forrest learned how to headbutt him by training in Georgia gyms with Evander Holyfield. This led to a little scuffle at a press conference for the rematch, which he claimed he won.

Then after the Wright rematch, Mosley said he had Wright "holding on for dear life" and that he really won.

Oh, and Tszyu wasn't a champion when Mosley decided to go to 147 and bypass 140, so that can't be held against Mosley.

DLH was rubbed in the rematch against Mosley.

Compared to other trash talkers in boxing i think Mosley is allowed a few words to say on his own behalf now and again. He could have fought Tszyu in 1999, he fought at 135 early in 99 and could easily have made a match up with Tszyu. Tszyu then fought Miguel Angel Gonzalez in August for the vacant WBC Light Welterweight Title. It will be interesting to see how Mosley handles Judah at a press conference.

This issue was raised in ring this month.

ALong with Jones and Hollyfield he was named as a drug user and it was asked if they should be allowed entry to the hall of fame based upon the fact that they have basically cheated.

    Tough one.

Yes he's an ATG CLEARLY. For some the lens is distorted by feelings for whatever reason.

LW- Undefated Champ, 100% KO Ratio.

WW- Undisputed WW Champ until Forrest. He beat DLH and showed the superior PACKAGE. Mosley is the better fighter.

154- Taking on the Udisputed 154 Champion and master boxer Winky Wright is no shame:nono

How come DLH and PBF supporters talk **** but the names Forrest and Wright dont appear on either of their records??:huh :think  Save the "offers" a la carte responses.

SSM beat Collazo and looked very good vs Cotto even at this stage. He's a great fighter and fighting SSM would make a hell of a lot more sense than DLH again. Why doesnt DLH fight Forrest at 154 instead? Especially since he wants to fight at 154:huh :huh :huh

    :scaredas:
