Will his lack of competition since fighting Castillo back 2002 come back to haunt him as he squares off against a very fired up and very fast 'Sugar' Shane Mosley?
Since Mosley was 'reborn' as a fighter I think he has looked nothing short of spectacular. Particularly against old 'concrete gloves'. Unfortunately I think Floyd is, by a long way, Mosleys toughest opponent so in answer to your question... "No" Prime Castillo was Floyds hardest imo. I think the only man who could make it any tougher for him is Pac. :good
Castillo beat Void in the first fight. Mosely will be toughest fight after that one. Pac will beat Void, that's why Void ran away.
He's definitely the toughest for a while. From a lot of people it was a case of Mayweather will never fight Mosley. Now it's a case that Mosley has aged a 100 years since the fight was announced. IMO Mosley has a chance of winning. It's definitely a fight I'm looking forward to.
:good Even Hatton had greater footspeed and he was really able to close down floyd. Just a shame he didnt have the offensive skills to damage mayweather. Also everyone talks about mosley having a 'granite' chin. That will be tested in the fight if mosley fights his typical fight.
I have stuck 100 vcash on Moseley for TKO or KO, he has a punchers chance...:yep I think that Pac took to many easy shots in the Clottey fight and if he fights like that v PBF he will get beat...:yep
Floyds is very conservative with his offense. If he assumes a defensive stance and the old Shane comes out that used to throw punches in bunches then Floyd will loose a UD or get KO'ed.
When are you dating Mosley's 'rebirth' to exactly? Because, prior to Margarito, he has a win against Mayorga and the loss to Cotto and he didn't look anywhere near spectacular in either. So, really, the only thing people are basing the current rating of him on is one fight where he had a significant style advantage over someone who was never as good as people thought he was.
Maybe, but I think Mosley's probably gonna prove to be too past his best, and just looking for a final payday rather than really challenging PBF.
It depends which Mosely is the current version... The one who turned up against Mayorga, looked awful and only won (despite what the judges had) with a last second knockout? or The one who turned up and beat Margarito? If it's the former than Mayweather stops him within 8 and if its the latter he may get a split decision go against him. However, there is no way that Mosely wins this fight.
