NO!! mayweather has had much tougher tests than mosley. castillo, judah, hatton and ndou were tougher tests for him. i dont think this fight will be particularly exciting to be honest, im smelling another mayweather v de la hoya where after he wins, everyone says ''mayweathers a boring fighter. he ran away. blah blah blah...'' I just dont think mosley will be active or accurate enough in this fight!
are we gonna have another looooong drawn out disagreement again kosaros? :nut i dont think mosley will give him as much to do as these did, thats all.
Cotto is a comptely different fight to Mayweather. Mayweather cant walk down and pound Mosely then Mayweather.
Nah, you explain to me why Judah, Hatton and Ndou are tougher fights than Mosley using something other than "I just get the feeling".
On paper it is. On paper its his biggest fight along with Corrales getting towards 10 yrs ago... I think it might turn out to be close but clear for Mayweather though. Pretty obviously clear. And I still think Pac is a bigger test.
well for one, mosleys most dangerous shots, the only ones money needs to watch for, are the str8 right and the left hook. do you think mayweathers defence will have a problem against these? although ndou was schooled, he was more active and more physical that mosley will be. hatton was spiteful and his movement was dangerous in the first half of that fight. mayweather had to keep on his toes and, again, hatton was very physical. judah DID trouble mayweather with his speed and his southpaw stance, but mayweather was too good in the end. mosley will come to knock mayweather out and he will jab his way in and throw left hooks and str8 rights all night BUT MAYWEATHER KNOWS THIS!!!
thats what i mean wasnt mayweather v de la hoya gonna be mayweathers hardest test too? on paper, this is mayweathers biggest win, but we all know it was a borefest. i think floyd v mosley will be more similar than people think :think
So you don't think Mayweather's ever been hit with these shots? And you say "only" as if there are thousands of other punches to look out for normally. Castillo hit him with a few right hands on the ropes. Highly debatable on both counts. What precedent do we have to show Mayweather can deal with a big, strong, pressure fighter like Mosley? Mayweather had Hatton under control from the first bell. Given the problems Collazo gave Hatton, I don't think this is a good barometer as to how how Floyd will handle Mosley. Judah is a mental midget but, as you say, did give him trouble through the first half of the fight and, arguably, scored a flash knockdown. Mayweather was "too good in the end" because Judah was not good enough. Again, no real barometer for beating Mosley. Mosley will come with a strategy devised by Nazim Richardson. I very much doubt Shane will come in winging bombs from the opening bell. He's not Ricky Hatton.
I'm not sure De La Hoya was any closer to his prime than the one Pacquiao demolished. He looked a little better but a lot of that was Mayweather admiring his work and standing off whereas Pacquiao just blitzed him and made him look like the old man he is. Eventually as the fight wore on we saw the old man in the Mayweather fight too. I still think Corrales is his best win and his best performance. This depending on how (and if) he wins could replace that. Mosley has proven to be in good form if a little inconsistent of late. But he's a proper, top class welterweight of which there are not many on Mayweather's record.
