there really isnt anything else for Shane to prove...although I feel like we are going to be seeing him fighting for a long time.

SSM still has at least 2 fights left in him. he definately beats Berto, imo. and a rematch w/ cotto at 154 would not be out of the question. now that i think about it, fighting PWILL at 154 would be a barn burner as well.

Punch stats aren't really an indication of whether or not a fighter is shot. Pavlik normally throws over 1000 punches a fight, yet his output was cut in half by skilled counter punchers in Hopkins and Martinez. Against counter punchers you don't want to commit as much as you would do normally, as you're more than likely to be picked off.

However having said that, I would like to see Shane hang them up. I don't know how past it he is, but I'd hate to see him lose to a fighter that he'd smash to pieces in his prime (ie Berto).

Clottey threw 399 punches in 12 rds against Pac, so he's even more shot right? :patsch

Check my prediction for the fight, I said mosley was old and past it and going to lose.

    Most people did.

Most of what Mosley threw were pitty pat arm punches because he did not have any thing left after the third round.

Floyds opponents become intimidated by his speed and start arm punching because they don't like getting jacked in the face.

452 punches against floyd? Shane threw more while receiving more harder punches from cotto.

Let's be realistic. Shane got gassed and he is old. It's fine.... it's a good win for floyd. Now sign to fight pacquiao.

"OK"...Luke...FLOYD KEPT SHANE HANDCUFFED MAN....EVERYTIME SHANE THREW HIS JAB HE WAS GETTIN COUNTERED WITH RIGHT HANDS OVER EM...HE COULDNT LET HIS HANDS GO..AGE HAD A FACTOR TO PLAY IN IT...NOT SAYIN IT DIDNT....BUT WHEN ALL THE EVIDENCE POINTS IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF WHAT YOUR SAYING U SHOULD JUST LET THAT $HIT GO...

QUESTION FOR YA..LETS SAY SHANE FIGHTS ANDRE AND BEATS HIM SOMETHING LIKE 116-112...U STILL GONNA SAY SHANE IS OLD EVEN THOUGH HE CONTENDS WITH OR BEATS A YOUNG AND HOT ANDRE BERTO...???:think

I'm not debating the fact a 39 year old guy who was breathing heavy after 3 rounds is shot or not.

You can call it whatever you want, I know what I saw.

Regardless of how or why you think he was losing, he was jittery and nervous. He over exerted himself and got tired.

Floyd still put on a great fight. His right hand in that fight was coming out like the right hand that lennox dropped rahman with.

    Shut up, dork.

I don't like interacting with you because you post like a 15 year old kid from an IGN board talking **** about how good you are at halo or something.
