Mosley has been on P4P lists since he beat DLH, but really, what has he done?

He beat a part time fighter in DLH the first time around, and that's about it. He was on P4P lists as recent as late 07 and after losing to Cotto people tried to justify him as a P4P because he gave Cotto a close tight fight.

People gave Cotto so much props for barely getting a descision against Mosley, but Mosley is a one dimensional, one punch, flat footed puncher.

I admit that at 147 he was something special, but after the Stone fight he hasn't done much and people still hurrah him. Is it his smile? Or his eyes?

id say other then the De La Hoya fight, he wasnt very special at 147, at 135, he was a destroyer.

dude u gotta look at the man when he was 33-0 30kos at 130s....he wasn't even human at that weight..he was like superman. IMO he would have smoked Floyd at that weight, that wouldn't really be overrated if he had done such a thing would it have? I would have picked Mosley over Castillo and Corrales by brutal beat downs. And any 135lber right now...Juan Diaz...etc he would have killed them.

well... all i have to do is look at how a past it mosley had cotto retreating in a tough fight in the later rounds, to know how good he is.

yes on paper he hasnt done much besides beat oscar... but that, and based off his reign at his lighter weights to me does the trick.

Hes no oscar or tito in terms of legacy... but H2H and such, on top of his oscar wins puts him up there imo

Kirk, you want to see Cotto retreat in the later rounds? Watch the Lovemore fight. Close fight with Cotto [running] away from Lovemore in the last couple rounds. No exaggerating.

He was the first to beat Oscar (part time singer at the time) in a close fight. Oscar chose to brawl instead of box. He beat Oscar by one or two rounds imo because Oscar tired. The second Oscar fight was a gift.

He didn't do anything that hadn't been done before at lightweight either. But yes he was special at the lighter weights.

His H2H ability out weighs his CV, but if he done what most fighter do nowadays and picked his oponents more carefully, he resume would look better. He fought Winky and Forrest when nobody wanted to fight them, he fought them because they were the best available fighters out there and he should be commended for that.

He does have a good record though, he was an outstanding lightweight, and beat a peak Oscar De La Hoya fair and square at Welter.

    44W-5L-37KO is not being overrated.

    Mosley
after his last fight against DLH is 8W-3L, not bad at all and hasn't been KO.

But the same can be said about Oscar and people still hurrah him, though Oscar is more intelligent cause is picking on guys like Forbes.

Mosley one dimensional! I don't think he is.

yeah basically the same situation trinidad was at in 147lbs. They kinda had the same type of destructive power respectively at those weights.
