its only good training if ur learning something each time you get ur ass whooped.... if shane is repeatedly getting his ass whooped it might be a sign that he is not learning or progressing in training
Shane Mosley is a veteran of 51 pro fights, 46 of which he won. There is no reason he should be getting the **** kicked out of him against a sparring partner if he is going to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.
haha, that reminds me of a poster on another boxing site who said Berto somehow did some voodoo deviltry to cause the earthquake to happen just so he could have an excuse to duck Mosley. And the dude was dead serious about it, even pointed to an article by Pat Robertson where he "agreed".
Oscar was getting beat up in sparring prior to his fight with Pacquiao. If it's true, it may be a good sign, it may be a sign that he's in trouble.
Probably Scar and Ellerbe. They probably had to do it quick since they only come up for air for approximately 5 seconds and then it's back to their knees and they know the rest.
:happy great points man. the harder you train in the gym, the easier the actual fight will actually be. great for shane, but at the sametime, floyd is gym rat and i don't see him falling behind anyone when it comes to gym work. also people tend to twist reality and because someone didn't look good in sparring it's automatically a loss. even floyd's looked bad, manny's looked bad, etc. they were sayin the same thing about manny before the clottey fight. and for those of you listening to Floyd, Sr. said this and that you should know better than to listen to a crackhead.:nono
In other words, consider the source. Since when has Mayweather Sr. said something praising his son's opponent? When Pac humbled him by starching Hatton he then said that Pac was on something. Then he makes poems about how he's the only trainer in the world who matters. If it's something ridiculously out there, leave it up to Floyd Sr. to be the one hwo said it! :deal
These kinds of rumors often come off being true actually. It could just be that Shane is getting good, tough sparring, but then again it could be a sign of his decline due to age. I don't think anyone here is qualified to judge either way. We'll just have to wait for the 24/7 footage I guess.
24/7 footage is going to be edited intensely though, so who knows how accurate it is? Plus, if Shane actually does look like ****, do you think HBO or the promoters will want to show that, knowing it could adversely effect sales of the fight? The only way we'll really know is if unedited footage starts getting leaked and put on youtube or something. Otherwise it'll just be hearsay one way or the other until the fight.
sometimes you want to leave some fight left for the actual fight. I believe emmanuel steward once mentioned this while talking about why lennox only sparred 90 rounds instead of going beyond 100.
