Kinda like Garcia-Matthysse was for 2013.

Both guys are exciting, both can punch and both have great stamina, they match up perfectly.

Think it will build and build and be a huge fight at the end of the year after both score 1 or 2 more impressive victories.

Porter is like a poor man's Mosley and Thurman like a poor man's Norris. Like Lucas being the fav I think Thurman will also be the fav, but I smell upset of sorts. I think Porter might edge it.

Neither winning would be an upset in my opinion, pure 50/50 fight.

For hardcore fans (Americans anyway) this is a great fight on paper. I think this is either a fight where 1 imposes their will... or shows the world a few new tricks in the fight to win.

No because Thurman may well be stopped in the 1st round by Diaz (kind of like Mares-Gonzalez from last year)

Porter will be BUTCHERED by Brook.

If they fight in 2014 it will be insignificant.

Not for me. Though I like both Thurman and Porter a great deal.

My most anticipated fight was Stevenson - Kovalev, my next most anticipated fight is/was Golovkin - CCJ jr. Some f#kker seems intent on ensuring that neither happens howevr.

neither Thurman or Porter have as big a name as Kova or Adonis, so it's not the most anticipated fight of 2014:good

    for me, it's:

    1. Kova-Stevenson
    2. GGG-Chavez Jr.
    3. Canelo-Lara

Of course it would be highly anticipated but it would be stupid for Golden Boy to match them up against one another this early.

    :deal:deal :-:)-(

Let Porter and Thurman fight in 2015, theres no rush. Lets have them clean out all the old, over rated, boring guys at 147 first and build up a rivalry. Sports need rivalries.

yeah, the thought of them fighting eachother has an old school feeling to it, but they need to up build up their fanbases a bit more (which is hard for American fighters to do these days). hopefully they keep making noise so it can seem like a super fight.

Wasn't that hard for Broner to build a fan base. All it takes is a solid promoter and the fan base will follow.
