I'm getting some devious vibes from this interview.

First of 0:39 just complete S***.

Secondly 1:44 I don't even think he believes what he is saying Wilder can't do anything different than look for the KO, only Fury can do better by coming in at even better shape and he will perform even better and now having world championship rounds under his belt for the first time in 3 years.

Lastly 2:03 his preferences is for rematch apparently but his first instinct is talk about Eddie Hearn and offers for AJ. Is this not the same man who Finkel said made ''BS' offer, who Finkel has constant back and Forths about who wants the fight, and the same man who Finkel brought a load of emails to post fight presser to try and discredit his argument.

I don't think anyone should be surprised Finkel seems to have had a change of heart and wants to cash out with the AJ fight, he knows the famous green and gold belt should be Tyson Furys.

He's about to pull a fast one on his old running buddy Frank.

I agree that Warren probably wants the rematch more than Wilder for obvious reasons. But, as I said in another thread, I can see both teams scurrying off and trying to make a deal with Hearn, or at least negotiating, this time in something of a better position of power compared to last time and in defiance of a rematch. I can't see Wilder budging from America unless it's for silly money.

There's no way Joshua can fight anyone more than Whyte and Pulev (and that would need to be accompanied by a HEAVY dose of PR regarding "obligations") before the casual base starts to turn on him for ducking Wilder/Fury. Usyk is still unproven at Super HW, unless Hearn can rush him in fast with a known and then start promoting him as a better choice, which I wouldn't put past him.

I think Fury and Warren like having Hearn and AJ on the sideline watching
I also think they are confident of beating Wilder easier a 2nd time

Fury facing Wilder makes AJ look like a fraud
If AJ steals the Wilder fight it will actually be embarrassing.
Fans like myself will claim AJ is scared of Fury and that he only took the Wilder fight because Fury made him look vulnerable!!!

This suggests Wilder and co don’t want it.

After that fight, Wilder, Breland, Dibella and Finkel probably all view Joshua as the easier fight than the Fury rematch. Against Joshua it's a true 50/50 shoot out and Wilder has more chance of catching a man with less movement.

Fury is in a good spot. He doesn't need the immediate rematch since he won in everyone's mind. If Wilder beats Joshua, the world will demand a Fury rematch. If Joshua beats Wilder, the UK public would demand Joshua-Fury. Hearn would not be able to get away with low-balling Fury. That fight would simply have to be made or the entire British boxing public would turn on Hearn and Joshua.

Fury can chill IMO. Even if he doesn't box Wilder next he can get away with boxing a B-grade fighter at home and people will tune in after that epic show he put on.

I think that Finkel ducks the Fury rematch and also fails to make the AJ fight because he refuses to make the fight in the UK. AJ isnt stupid enough to fight in the USA and be robbed.

This means one fight and one fight only in October folks....AJ vs Fury.

Wilder will go back to facing the level of lower ranked contenders he was facing prior to the Ortiz fight, until his reflexes deteriorate sufficiently with age and he gets knocked out and then retires.

I think for Wilder the Breazeale mandatory gets called.

    AJ takes on Whyte/Pulev

Fury takes on a Charr type.

Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think Wilder will want a top opponent after that and I can’t see Frank and Eddie agreeing a Fury fight.

to be fair, when both fighters were asked if the rematch would be next, neither of them definitively said they wanted the rematch next, both said "we'll have to sit down with our teams"

I still think Wilder and his team know he's been very close to losing his title and therefore likely to lose the big Joshua payday in both his last two fights, and that the time may have arrived to make a deal with Joshua.

Thing about the weekend is that whilst the fight was good, all the business talk beforehand was decided before the fight started. When PPV sales come out and if it didn't do that well, Hearn isn't in a bad negotiating spot, bearing in mind he can simply go public and state 'nobody really thinks you beat Fury, everyone things Fury probably won, and you're not the big star you pretend to be. Here's fifteen million, take it or leave it.'

Talk of the public turning on Joshua en masse is premature. The guy has just done over a million UK PPV sales against Povetkin in a pretty good fight at a nearly full Wembley. It's not bad going.

It also makes you think that this fight didn’t gross as much as they anticipated if they’re willing to entertain a Hearn offer.

I can see Joshua/Whyte with Usyk/Takam in April. Joshua (if he wins) to fight winner of Fury/Wilder rematch end of year. As long Usyk wins his 2 heavyweight fights, he get title shot early 2020.

This could easily happen but I think Wilder's team would be nervous about being sidelined.

Funny how one fight can change everything. That potentially just happened. One thing that Joshua now has is that the 'need' for him to fight Wilder has probably reduced, just a little. If he fought Whyte, then Fury, then Usyk, and beat them all, whilst Wilder lost to Fury in the rematch, then fought someone like Breazeale, Wilder is pretty much back in the position that the likes of Povetkin find themselves in. Former world champions who lost when they stepped up.

And that's why I wonder if Wilder's team see his chance as needing to happen now. If they will make more money in a Joshua fight than a Fury rematch then I think that happens.
