It really is a shame that Vitali Klitschko rarely fights these guys when they're in reasonable condition... Sam Peter was around 243 for his fight with Maskaev, but ballooned to over 250 for Vitali.. Kirk Johnson was 265, when in fact was much lower for most of his career. Sanders was 235 for Vitali, but a more trim 225 for Wlad. Why don't these ****ing guys get in shape for one evening?
Solis has a chance, he is very dangerous. a very smart and experienced fighter who has been waiting for this fight for a long time.
I never heard of any offer from the K's, and if they did offer a fight the money was not there, they always do that.
And the fight hasn't started and you already know he is not there mentally, the force is strong in you my child.
He's a delusional fighter, assuming that he can show up in whatever shape he wants and that it wont hinder him. His stamina is poor enough as it is, and his feet are slow enough as it is. He's just acting idiotic at this stage, frustrating seeing as he clearly has the talent.
i agree totally with the above post. I have forever wanted to ask Stacey Mckinnley, Pops Anderson, Sam Peter and his manager about when they fought Vitali in Berlin. I mean I have never ever seen Peter fight so lethargically and without purpose. It was like they just interrupted a three month vacation he was on. Hell Pops Anderson who always drilled Samuel between rounds did not say a word throughout the whole fight. I was there and I thought it was eerie. Vitali beats him 19 times out of 20 no doubt, but something was off with Peter that night.
I hope he wins and brings some new life to the HW division, the klits have made that division the most boring in boxing. But at the same time i dont know if he will come in the shape and prepared the way he needs to be to win. :hat
Well there were offers, go do your own reading. Why should have there been "money"? What has Solis done to warrant shelling out massive cash? As for your last comment......nice bait, keep fishing!
Wow! What a " Boxing Expert " you are , hopefully after the 19th of march we won't be seeing you again . Peace.
Solis is well schooled. He has very fast hands, is accurate, and has some power. Solid on defense as well. A top ten man in the division. However, he is on the short side, and probably does not take the best punch in the world. He's also not very aggressive. Vitali is too big, too strong, too accurate, and too aggressive. and Vitali's defense is very under rated. He can make you miss with a jab, and moves around the ring with great efficiency. Unless father time has taken a ton of sand out of Vitali's boxing's hour glass, he should TKO Solis in the mid to late rounds, perhaps after having a feeling out process early on. Most 39 year old fighters do not want to be in with quick handed fighters. Vitali does not mind.
The huge porblem for Solis is the jump in competition. Vitali has been in the ring with fighters who could beat Solis, whereas he has never been in the ring with anyone who would be a challenge for Vitali. What will Solis do when 80 punches per round comr weird angles come his way? When he realizes that old Vitali still has good reflexes and has none of the victim mentality os his previous opponents?
