Boxing Expert, wow thanks for the props!

Whats the matter? Did I hurt your feelings with my contribution noob? Where's your pre-fight analysis of the fight anyway? I think you said Solis stops Vitali in 6, right? I hope you'll put some big money on that and let me know how that works out for you big guy. I'll be here, don't worry.

If at 230 235 semi jacked I would give him a hance. But it could be and upset

but solis will be 100% punching bag for 12 rounds but I think could also turn into a battle

If he came in at 235 I'd fully agree with you but he and his manager Öner say he feels "good" at 260. Vitali crushes fat-asses for fun like Gomez, Peter, Johnson, Williams and so on. This is going to be another boring beatdown.

If Solis comes in around 235, I'd give him 2 rounds until he's stopped around the 10th.
If he comes in over 250, he doesn't win a round, and is stopped inside of 6.

As to the OP. Unlike Peter, he does not have 1 punch KO power, so no threat to Vitali there. Unlike Arreola, he doesn't have the conditioning, so Vitali doesn't have to worry about a late round flurry.

Solis himself is really a mixture of Arreola and Peter. A little more power than CA, a little better handspeed than both, but not as strong as SP, not as well rounded as CA.

That said, I see him being either starched around 6, or quitting on his stool around 8 or 9.

Anyone know if I can bet my vcash on this fight?

I'm not saying "massive cash" fair is what I'm saying, if you going to risk your life and ppl are paying to c it, you want some of that $ in your pockect, don't you agree?

In any case come fight night and all our question will b answer, one thing for sure is that if he is at 260lbs or over I'll not watch the fight, he a least has to respect his fans and train hard for this opportunity.

Solis has the talent and the pedigree but if he doesn't take this more seriously than any pro fight I've seen him in so far, his hope is in the fact that Vitali is fighting two opponents. Solis and age. Vitali is long overdue for an injury or for aging overnight. It may very well turn out that it's his toughest opponent since his comeback. It may also turn out Solis just gets sodomized like everyone else has and can't do anything about it.

Vitali eats fighters like Solis for breakfast. He doesn't have to be prime to give Solis a shellacking

There's too much emphasis on Solis' amateur record, if anything. That indicates he's an exceptional fighter but the truth is, he isn't close to that level now. His fight against Austin was truly atrocious. It was a case of "can't vs. won't" with a poor ending. Austin looks horrible, Solis looked marginally better.

He's a frustrating fighter to watch because when he throws punches, he looks decent. Maybe it's more than just a mental block though? Maybe he physically can't fight at a hard pace?

I'm tired of these challengers though. Easy to hit, overweight, low output, no movement, no aggression, no passion and lethargic. They're a disgrace.

When you hear Solis speak, you know he only wants a payday. Oener negotiated a deal which indicates he doesn't think his man stands a chance too, so it should be a formality. There's nothing to indicate it won't be.

He's probably the best opponent Vitali has faced since his comeback but Vitali has dominated everyone so far. Solis for all is natural talent and skill has handicapped himself by being so overweight.

I suspect another Vitali domination and he forces Solis to quit in the later rounds.

What's fair? $300K, 750k, 1 mil? He's 17-0 and only faced 1 top 15 opponent and didn't even win convincingly, it was an awful fight. He's got a gold medal, but you would never guess so by seeing how he's carried himself as a pro. What does Oner pay him for his last 17 fights? Would you consider those figures "fair"

What Vitali offered was a career high (how can that not be fair) and a shot at his belt, it's not like he was going to fight for nothing. He did the smart thing, knowing he has little shot of winning, and that was to hold out for his mandatory shot where he gets 30% instead of 10 or 20%.

Don't worry Solis will have plenty of all you can eat buffet cash once he receives his beating. The hard part will be waiting for the swelling to go down in his face as eating may be less enjoyable for that period.

If he is in shape, Vk is in for a tough fight.

That fight was not atrocious, he dominated Austin and make him quit, just because you don't KO an opponent it doesn't meant that you look horrible, it was not his best but I'll not say atrocious, like I said before, if he is in shape he will do a lot of damage, he a better boxer than VK and he is used to fight taller fighters.

Chagaev beat Savon and what good did it to him against a Klitschko? These Cubans have great amateur careers because they stay in the amateurs when the Western talents turn pro. Lewis and Wlad could have prevented Savon from ever being a big amateur star if they hadn't turned pro so young.

I dislike Haye very much but he has proven more in the pros than Solis.
