Is Spinks ever going to fight?! He has been sitting on this belt waiting for it to hatch long enough. I understand the general feeling of fans is that he is a boring fighter than not manny have any intrest in. Wouldnt boxing be better off if his belt went to a fighter thatl could drum up som excitement or intrest? What do you think, are fighters like Cory Spinks bad for boxing?
He had a defense scheduled not long ago (I think on the Agbeko-Perez undercard), but the fight got cancelled. He also tried to make a unification fight with Dzinziruk, but Universum won't let Dzin fight. Frankly, Spinks tries to get fights made more than the rest of Don King's fighters. All of those guys barely ever fight.
Dont be shocked it Spinks pop out as Floyd next fight. It was a fight that was being talked about a few year ago, and may just happen.
Spinks isn't bad for boxing it's just his inactivity that's bad. Not all his fights are bad personally I like his fights with Taylor, Judah, and I heard the Mayorga fight was entertaining but I'm not trying to buy it if it isn't.
I have to argue that, I got a pic with him that night and I'm around 185 and about an inch taller and he was much smaller than me build wise. If I had to guess he was mid-160's at best.
