He had 4 fights in 2013 and is on pace to having 2 fights in 2014. Everyone thought the Hopkins fight would be made by now, but Hopkins doesn't seem like he want to get involved in Stevenson's legal problems at the moment. He's got no fights planned and Showtime isn't going to overpay him again after the ratings disaster with Fanfara. There aren't many guys he can fight or have a decent payday on Showtime outside of Hopkins. Should have agreed to fight Kovalev instead. Haymon is not the gold mine he thought it was...it's more like a coal mine.
Crusher is running the batty boy out of the division , Not many of haymons fighters are very active if you look at it
Still kinda sad to witness such self-destruction. He was arguably the fighter of the year in 2013, and then he goes on to **** off the boxing community. By leaving HBO, he thought he could make a lot of money, but he actually lost leverage. He's not fighting, he's not getting paid and he's got no one but himself to blame.
It appears to be, after his last pitiful performance, that it is time to cash him out before a journeyman does him in.
Haymon inflated stevensons ego and made him think that he waz on the A side..haymon fighters are no where to be seen....
I'm a live and let live guy. DUIs happen. Even domestic violence can happen once or twice. People make mistakes. We all do bad things. But I'm not ever going to feel sad for a dude who raped underage girls at knifepoint and threatened their families if they tried to do anything about it.
I thought the whole reason Stevenson ran over to Showtime was to get a fight with BHop and not because he was ducking Kovalev. All the talk lately seems to be about BHop fighting Kovalev. What happened? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FONN-0uoTHI
Once again the Grimy incompetent promoters and blood sucking lawyers have blocked boxers from practising their craft and putting food on the table. These parasitic middlemen who have no talent and produce nothing, exist only to leech off the hardwork and skills of others.
