They have nothing in common apart from wrestling backgrounds.

Stipe reminds me a lot of Liddell except he doesn't go ape**** when he has someone hurt

I think it would pay(quite literally) for him to take a little bit of speech therapy.

That's quite a big thing to have in common.

Not really. One guy is a power punching knockout artist who uses his wresting to keep the fight on the feet, the other is a high paced grinder who uses his wrestling to wear down opponents in the clinch and on the mat. It’s like saying Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture are carbon copies of each other. Stipe can’t be a more polished version of Cain if they fight nothing alike.

I don't think they're quite as opposite as Liddell and Couture.

Is it fair to say Miocic is a sprawl and brawl fighter? I thought he was more than adept wrestling on the mat rather than just avoiding takedowns.

We haven't seen anyone stand up to his power yet so it's hard to say.

Still two power punchers with a wrestling background, their skill sets are broadly similar no?

Cro Cop in his prime had excellent takedown defense, and his thick tree trunk legs enabled him to execute perfect potent sprawls and takedown stuffing against grapplers, but Stipe Miocic has great boxing skills, and has grappling credentials, he doesn't have to worry about getting grappled around.

No...Browne has a chin and can punch,he may be slow but hes been in with skilled experinced guys. ina boxing arena,i dont think Stipes chin holds up to good boxing. ( I know he fought Jennings, but really hes golden glove level ). in todays boxing game you need a solid chin...you are going to get hit sooner than later with these big boys today.

even guys like older chagaev is world level compared to what Stipe would bring. Really Stipe excells more with wresting to set up his striking,he needs both...just striking in boxing? I dont see it. Browne isnt all that good either and certainly Stipe is a better MMA fighter than Browne a boxer..

Stipe is a bit more dangerous bc he has actual offensive grappling ability...it saved him against guys like overeem. He doesnt hit as hard as liddell punching per punch but hes crisper, also a better chin.

the voice? I would say Stone Cold steve Austin as someone mentioned ...somewhere?

Browne has an ok chin, it's far from iron... He's been dropped by journeymen multiple times, was stunned a couple of times by Julius Long. Let's not forget he's struggled many times with mediocre regional fighters, only for his power and grit to bail him out. Miocic is a far superior athlete and has amateur experience of his own. If had gone into boxing instead of MMA, I see no reason why he couldn't crack the top 50 like Browne did.

Chagaev was obese, lazy and way past it... Yet still had enough to outbox, drop and get the better of Browne for a large portion of the night. Not to mention Browne was on the sauce.. That's the only top 50 fighter Browne has stepped in with, and the win has a massive Asterisk next to it.

Overeem was starting to falter on the feet as well, it was just another one of his infamous collapses. Miocic very likely would have KO'd him standing eventually if he didn't secure that easy takedown.
