Would like to see Dustin Nichols take on Stiverne in a sumo competition.

As you call this a HW title challenge, then that's setting a very low bar for what would certify.
Then you can completely shot Rahman's 2 round spanking by Povetkin a titleshot, and journeyman 'Dangerous' Damon Reed getting mauled by Hide for his WBO belt a titleshot as well.
So, no... I rate Stiverne very, very low in the former beltholder list though. For any weight.

Is he worse than Pianeta was when he challenged for the WBA (regular) belt in 2015 and got KO'd first round by Chagaev? What about 42 year old Cedric Boswell who challenged Povetkin for the WBA (regular) in 2011?

Maybe Stiverne 2021 is still worse.

Carl Davis Drummond and Owen Beck were also very bad, not sure if worse.

Yeah ...the paper tiger ....gifted the belt & suitable prey for hearn to get his robot Joshua a title ...having said that I think Peters is joint bottom...
Won the title after the Holder Maskaev had a 2 year lay off due to injury.
!st defence fought a retired Klitchko hoping to a shot for a 3rd fight with his brother Vlad. Vitali was retired & had been out of the ring for a whole 4 years & came back to make Peters Quit on his stool in the 8th round AGAINST his own corners advice, the only hW champ ever to do so even though he had not been seriously hurt or down in the fight! Not to mention Vitali was 9 years older than Peters...

All you ‘lineal’ lovers must rate Sefer Seferi well below Stiverne right?

There have been some pretty awful challengers for a heavyweight title. Tim Tomashek springs to mind, he was never anything more than a journeyman.

Come on the WBA regular title isn't a real world title. It's like being interim champion at best. If we count it as a real world title then we should include interim title matches and the IBO, WBU, WBF, and the countless other alphabet titles there have been as being legit. I'm sure there must have been a worse heavyweight title challenger than Stiverne if we include those belts.

    Worst challenger? Not even close.
Worst title holder? Now there is an argument for that.

I don't think he's even the worst holder of one of the real HW titles. If he got it back now he probably would be though.

Because it was openly discussed at the time and in historical record how Carnera was a goddawful boxer and just a pituitary case with mob handlers who fixed his ascension. I have no doubt Chris Arreola would knock Carnera TF out unless the mob threatened his family or hit him on the back of the head with something. Stiverne is just a spent fighter with no motivation and a rumored degenerative muscle disease (but that could just be boxing twitter) but he still got where he got by winning his fights honestly.
