It's quite funny to think that after Great Grandpa Ortiz , Bermaine Buffet Stiverne is arguably the best win on Wilder's resume.

thank you! did not even know that it was on last night. wouldn't have paid to watch it.
heard it was a little bit more entertaining than expected though.

Why would you think that, is it just because he hasn't won a fight in like 6 years?

Last night's Stiverne > the Wawrzyk that challenged Povetkin.

Martin vs Kownacki was a entertaining HW fight between two poor fighters. This was similar, but less entertaining between poorer boxers.

Duhaupas, Washington and Spzilka are better but that just says more how poor Stiverne has awalys been rather than the other 3 being any good.

    I’m not a fan but....

Povetkin’s WBA ‘regular’ title defenses were against:

    Cedric Boswell, age 42

Marco Huck, cruiserweight (who arguably beat Pov)

Hasim Rahman, age 40 and well past his sell-by date

Andrej Wawrzyk, complete can with no credentials

I’d say none of the four rate worse than Stiverne. Not sure they were much better but same tier.

WBA world Heavyweight Champion Brutal Bruce Seldon looked the part, both as a challenger and Champion...At least for casuals

Rahman at that point was much worse than Stiverne from the other night. Just totally gone, like he didn't even have balance anymore,

Stiverne was top 3 in the division for a couple of years. He was better than all of those guys.
