How many heavyweight title holders were worse than Stiverne?

For some reason I can’t remember who the guy was that fought Joe Louis and was terrified and was running for his life. That fight came instantly to mind, he had no business challenging for the title. If I remember who I’ll update my post

Marco Huck was way better than any Stiverne, crusierweight or not.

In a h2h sense, Martin, Old Foreman, Seldon, Briggs (2nd time), Bentt, Leon Spinks, Ancient Ali, Bryan, Diamond Boy, several old timers, and Morrison, Maskaev, Valuev, Liakovich, and Ruiz cut it close.

Very Overrated padded record similar to Wilder and Arreola and clearly should never of been ranked that high.

You said “clearly” so it must be true. He’s the only guy who ****ed up a prime Arreola twice. That’s probably comparable to what a few of your heavyweight heroes accomplished.

Exactly his best win is Arreola whose best win is beating Molina. Overrated puddings.

His third best win is Austin who drew with Ibragimov and knocked out Golota.

Molina was not considered Arreola's best win back then anyway. He ended Mitchell and beat Walker and Chazz Witherspoon when they were prospects. He lost by about a point to Adamek due to conditioning and Adamek would be the top contender.

Take someone like Morrison. He ran his way to a decision over an ancient Foreman and doesn't have another notable win.

Exatly, Austin best peformances was only beating the spent corpse of Golota who was well past it by then. And drew against Ibragimov. Lost to the very low level opponents Scroniers, Hatcher and Levin. No one even mentions Austin as one of Ruiz notable wins because hes that low level.

Mentioning such poor level fighters such Mitchell and Witherspoon just goes to prove my point.

Ruiz beat Austin in 2016, dumbass. Golota was supposed to beat Austin, who was also a vet, but got stopped in the first. And Arreola must have sucked if he lost by a round to Adamek, who was top three for the Vitali fight.

I guess we’ll have to chalk this up to The Ring not knowing anything about boxing10-15 years ago but “Mitch87,” who cut his teeth on the mean streets of the internet, knowing it all.

Right. And I would easily argue that at least 15 of them are easily better than Stiverne, or had better title reigns.
And then there are those who held the WBO belt when it mattered little. Like Morrison, who h2h easily stands above Stiverne anyways.

I think that was Levinsky, but before he won the title.

Louis did, however, fight 3-3 Johnny Davis for the title.
