Of course Mayweather out boxed him when he was young but now he’s in his prime no one has been able to out box him. Saunders and Plant tried but failed. However Bivol was able to defeat him by pushing him against the ropes and out hustling him. Golovkin also gave him trouble by standing toe to toe with him and brawling it out. So is strength the only way to beat Canelo?

Bivol would get Canelo on the ropes here and there, but only later in a fight or when Canelo would voluntarily back himself there... other than that He was boxing - and outboxing - Alvarez.
Canelo did good job against Saunders and Plant, but They just aren't that good. Of course He can be outboxed.

I don’t think it would’ve mattered if Bivol was reasonably smaller then Canelo. Canelo just really didn’t look flash in there.
