No idea, previous SF events have been delayed on Bravo but there gone now. Fedor/Rogers was the first card Bravo covered if I remember correctly so hopefully whatever pushed that though(either Fedor's name or maybe M1's european contacts?) will do so again. Coker was talking about possibly doing a UK show this year so you'd think he'd need some TV coverage in place.
M-1/Strikeforce shows are usually live I-PPV. I really hope they do that through Showtime again - the setup for Fedor-Werdum was sweet
If its the same deal as previous Fedor fights with Strikeforce then M-1 holds the European rights. Fedor/Rogers was shown live on omnisports and Fedor/Werdum was shone live on Showtime I-PPV.
SF are able to deliver much higher quality shows now. They should definitely try and acquire a broadcaster in the UK. But who? Five and ESPN seem to be in bed with UFC. Maybe Sky but as I understand it, they are interested in the UFC. None of the current channels, heavily promote domestic MMA so I'm not sure if they would jump straight to international. I think someone like Sky could acquire the rights at a good rate. They don't need to have a commetry team etc. They should just copy the same show that SF do.
Sky would never show it...they seem more interested in picking up UK shows for peanuts or flirting with the UFC. Plus they always seem to have a distant relationship with Showtime - they always favour HBO events when it comes to boxing. I thought Primetime would pick up events that featured Daley fighting but the December 4th show disproved that theory. I doubt Premier would offer enough for Strikeforce to accept. Eurosport 2 are starting to show Strikeforce on the continenent but there's no word on whether that'll be true of the UK. Even if its Eurosport is terrible for combat sports...they always shows things at random times and with zero promotion...not even getting the event title on the EPG for FFS.
