Na he's just fighting guys now that aren't cans. Last 2 fighters worth a damn were Geale and Macklin and they beat him or got robbed.

Sturm needs to consider retiring I think.

Maybe he can get a simple tuneup and then a final payday in a domestic clash vs. Abraham. But his big headliner days are def. over. He's looked awful in his last 4 fights and lost two in a row.

Yeah I know :D, by 'buy' I meant accept it, watch it. :thumbsup
I thought about it too but it doesn't make sense at all. Except if he retires immediately.

sturm was never that good to begin with
did everything in his power to avoid US exposure, even after the golden goose bout with oscar - and he got what he deserved in the end

He is clearly slipping past him prime, but "done, shot" is not the proper term.

I thought he beat Soliman for the record.

His last two fights were close and he lost both of them. That should put an end to all of this hometown decision crap.

Nonetheless, I agree that he is done.

Yes he is finally done. Sturm made a career fighting hand pickings in Germany with zero interest in unification.

Golovkin is his last chance and I have no doubt GGG would accept a fight. It's maybe a little bit late but I would still like the fight Sturm gets outworked easily especially sinc ehe seems to be past prime and his stamina is getting worse but GGG isn't someone who will move a lot and throw that many punches it would be a fun fight

He wanted none of Abraham back when it mattered, he sure as hell won't take it now.

****ing good riddance, not one boxing figure in the past few years has annoyed me more than Sturm. Gift against Macklin and an arguable draw against Murray before Geale finally snatched the title off him. Although it would be highly satisfying to see GGG beat the living **** out of him for milking the title and taking money away from guys that should have got decisions off him, i think Golovkin needs to move onto bigger and better things, Sturm does not deserve another payday, in my honest opinion he's been given a few too many.
