Is Sugar Ray Leonard overrated?

I already diagnosed him and laid it all out for him. Apparently, he blew it off like any opinion he doesn't agree with on here.

 

Yeah, Duran v. Leonard at JM around '83 or '84 would have been interesting. When Leonard looked mediocre against Howard, he called off his comeback.

Even with the retirement and only one tuneup, I still think the Leonard who fought Howard and the Duran of the same time period would have been a good, competitive matchup.

Of course Duran was quite a step up from Howard, but Leonard would have been more focused and prepared for him, I believe.

 

Foxy 01, think about it. You're a grandfather. You're getting so riled up by someone from the internet. Ultimately on the internet, you should leave your emotions behind because people love to troll.

I don't know what the argument was about and I don't care to read, but unless your family has legitimately been attacked in real life or properly smeared on the net or something, you need to calm down.

There's no way I would accept being so crazy when an old man, may God protect me from becoming so easily riled up when I'm many decades older (and even now). Overly sensitive people always have to take something personal, it's always SOMETHING.

This has no place in this forum, leave the internet because your royal holy feelings will always be hurt for some reason or the other.

You've got to be kidding me. A lot of people here, including you and Foxy01, are more biased than I am. Your biases are just more accepted in this forum. Guys like you only think it's bias when someone doesn't unequivocally worship Duran or go along with your false criticisms and characterizations of Mayweather. You get so thrown off that you start misreading my posts and accusing me of saying things I've never said. Sad, really.

Anyway, I don't always agree with Kevin, and in fact disagree with his positions rather frequently re certain Classic fighters , but his biases are no worse than anyone else on the site and he expresses himself pretty well.

The same, incidentally, could be said for you, when you're not in full on troll mode.

I have no truck with kool kevin, as I consider him as nothing more than a bad smell you might get from a blocked drain. He knows nothing at all about boxing other than his hero worship of Mayweather and Leonard. Yet he even manages to get that wrong.

I completely dismissed him as a nincompo0p when he tried to tell us that Leonard did nothing but back peddle from Hearns as a deliberate tactic for the first 5 rounds in their 81 fight. This was his stupid answer when plenty of us told him that Duran didn't allow Leonard to hit and run in Montreal. Yet the film specifically shows him win the 3rd round by doing exactly the opposite of back peddling. If Leonard raising his hands at the end of the round wasn't enough, the commentators then say it was a clear Leonard round, as did all 3 judges.

However, no surprise here Fool Kevin still claimed it wasn't a clear Leonard round, that he was right, and Leonard did indeed back peddle in the 3rd. He is quite well known for selective clipping, but unfortunately all anyone has to do is watch the complete fight and then they know he talks bollox.

No, the person I want to hurt is the scum bag from Canada who calls himself latineg, which as we all know is KUNT spelt backwards.
