Right. Joe "johngarfield" Rein posted here that what Robby did was the exact opposite of shoe shining, each shot like the crack of a whip, and that "every moment was about putting the hammer down." On camera, against Bobby Dykes, he ripped apart the taller Dykes on the inside, particularly with body shots, especially surgically thudding rights downstairs.

Late in his career, he decked a guy in the opening round with a perfectly timed jab to the solar plexus, flicked out and up into the pit of the stomach just at the moment his quarry began to exhale, driving all the air out of his lungs. Robby's timing was off the charts.

While I consider Greb to be the P$P GOAT (as do many others who originally favored SRR), the Pittsburgh Windmill was NOT as complete a fighter as Robinson.

Agreed w/ those people who nominate SRR instead. @ his WW/light MW peak, he was like a cross between SRL & Hearns - it doesn't get more complete than that!

Robinson had his incompletions for example he couldn’t fight going right, his jab was also lacking, I also don’t think he was quite the “boxer” others do.

    One of them.

How much better he may have been without the drink, drugs and partying who knows. From 82 to 97 he was a party animal who took long layoffs.

He didn't have Leonards footwork. His footwork was pretty basic.
Also defensively wasnt as good as Leonard
Didnt show much counterpunching from what ive seen.

Boxing has evolved a lot since then
