Going by his recent outings. No way. Going by his last 5 fights, still no.

Not now, but in his prime at lightweight, he was a HELLUVA fighter. Every fighter 'n gym rat would stop what they were doing to watch him spar.

    :good

Many of the new "fans" of the sport fail to realize that guys like Mayweather, DLH, and Mosley primed out a long time ago...in the nineties and early noughties, and several weight classes below welterweight (where they all reached the height of their mainstream fame).

Just as Mayweather's optimal best was as a SFW/LW (not welter, which is pretty much what "new fans" know of him) and DLH's was from LW to WW (not light middle, which is pretty much what "new fans" know of him), Mosley was at his absolute optimal best at LW...not WW/LMW, which is pretty much what "new fans" know of him.

Mosley ceased to be a surefire no-doubt-about-it elite as soon as he jumped to 154 following his first losses. He spent the next several years on the outskirts of the elite - kind of just barely renewing his membership by continually coming up with good wins (no great ones, mind you) but he has now gone over two full years without winning period...and without looking very good at all, let alone anywhere near even the outskirts of the elite.

No he isn't anymore. An elite fighter does not go without a victory for two years.

I'd have to disagree here. As far as the names go, Oscar, Barrera or Morales are all bigger names and more accomplished fighters with better resumes than Mosley. People like to talk how Oscar has lost most of his biggest fights, but take a look at SSM, if u switch his biggest wins with his losses he'd have a better resume than he's got now. (count 2nd oscar fight as loss, as it was an obvious robbery)

    Boom. Knowledge.

  12. NO he is not elite , he is past it big time . The only reason he didnt get KO'd against Floyd is because Floyd isnt an aggresive fighter , if Floyd pushed like aggresive fighters do he woulda got a tko for sure. In his fight against Mora he showed pretty much every sign there is of a shot fighter he looked dreadfull . When he gets in with Manny ( an aggresive fighter ) hes gonna get punished soooooo badly its guna be hard to watch .

If you'd asked me in 2005, my answer would've been different.
